February 17th, 2011 02:04 PM #11Spark plugs can actually last more than 50K, and you don't have to replace it every 10K. But if you'll be comfortable replacing the SPs every 10k, then do it.
Also, check your manual about Maintenance Minder. Honda cars are equiped with maintenance minder, this will light up when your Oil Life is at 15% and it wil signify a code what maintenance should be performed. (e.g., A1) where A Replace Engine Oil, and 1 signifies Rotate Tires. For B4, it signifies Replace Oil and Oil Filter and all other 9 point ++ inspections and other services. 4 means Replace Spark Plugs.
Maintenance Minder was put in place so that the voodoo guessing when and what to replace during maintenance will be more accurate, hence will make the vehicle cheaper to maintain.
