But, are there any other ways na mag improve yung FC nya bukod sa ways of driving like installing iridium spark plugs or whatsoever na pwedeng iinstall? Newbie/Noobie palang po kasi.
    The best way to improve your FC is to drive when there's less traffic. Traffic is the biggest contributor to FC - the heavier the traffic, the lower the FC. I've gotten as low as 5 km/L and as high as 23 km/L with my Civic and it was all dependent on the traffic conditions at the time.

    Also, just keep your car maintained according to the maintenance schedule indicated in your manual. No fancy add-ons will bring miraculous FC improvements. As long as your engine is in tip-top condition, you'll get the best FC possible with your Civic.

Pangit kasi, mukhang ice shaver

    We both had a 2009 City 1.5L AT and a 2009 Jazz 1.3L AT. Both cars are used almost daily with 1-2 people on board. The City 1.5L proved to be more efficient for us. The Jazz was better in terms in handling but with its 1.3L engine, it was just painfully slow to accelerate. The City 1.5L is a better highway cruiser in terms of pace and fuel efficiency. We brought it to Baguio and I was able to do 15 km/L (mixed highway and city) for the whole trip.

    Go with Toyota, Japanese brands will be easier to source in terms of parts.

I've been reading up about cars here in this forum and some comments about Honda City were either from 3-5y ago or unsatisfied users. How about its performance and fuel economy now? TIA.
    7.5 km/L after a month of use (650+KM), but that figure is consistent for 2 weeks now;
    2 people load;
    2-3 x a week home-to-errands;
    1-2 x a week highway driving;
    using ECON when not in superhighways;
    uses Shell Fuelsave

    is this too high a FC? or will it improve over time?

    Mine's about the same but 0.3-0.4 km/L lower. I've been driving my car for over a month now. I was mainly after City's supposedly remarkable fuel efficiency but I'm really getting disappointed with it. I haven't reached a 1000km yet but I've already gone to the gas station (Shell; premium) for about four times now, at full tank each time.
