I suggest bring a honest to goodness mechanic.

Risky masyado bumili ng 2nd hand, to add up ifinancing mo pa pala yan?

Mas mataas interest ng pre-owned vehicle thru financing.

    I have a Civic 2002 LXi and I consume 12.5 ~ 12.8 km/L.

This includes driving from Pampanga to Alabang on Monday, then Makati~Alabang~Makati on weekdays and back to Pampanga on Friday.

I record the fuel in L when gassing up and restart the odometer. I've been doing this for 6 months now.

di ako civic user pero with regards with fuel saver devices, waste of money lang yan, yung pambibili mo ng fuel saver...pambili mo na lang ng gas.

in this day and age, if such a thing did indeed exist and worked reliably, it would already be incorporated in them manufactured cars..

I attribute the good fuel economy to the following reasons:

    1. Genuine Honda Engine Oil, 5w/30 mineral, Php1085 only including oil filter change sa casa. Eto lang ata mura sa casa.

    2. Tire pressure, 36 psi front, 34 psi rear. Don't be scared, that's not even close to being high.

    3. Correct spark plugs recommended by the Honda Service Manual. Mine are NGK ZFR4F-11. I can't find these anywhere locally so I had to buy at E-bay. Sulit naman considering the benefits.

    4. "Undercharged" A/C system. There is a recommended range for the proper charge or weight of refrigerant for our vehicle. Always go with the minimum. R134A pressure goes up with the ambient temperature. Alam natin kung gaano kainit sa Pinas. Traffic pa palagi. Pag nasa max recommend pressure levels ka tapos sobrang init, tataas lalo pressure within the A/C lines. Hirap ang compressor. Bukod sa magloloko idle, pwedeng makasira ng A/C system at higit sa lahat malakas sa gas. Also make sure they read the pressure when the engine speed is at 1500 rpm. Hindi alam ng karamihan sa mga technician to.
So not all the time na 17 ang tires ay malakas na kagad sa gas ang auto?
