What CAR&DRIVER did was get a Ford Excursion support van. Opened the rear doors and had their car (I can't recall the make) tailgate it.

Almost zero wind resistance since the Excursion was punching a huge hole in the atmosphere.

    They won the contest.

hehe... medyo bawal, pero if there's any highway running involved, you can tailgate a bus going 60 km/h... or another competitor, so you'll be at the right speed and going in the same direction all the way.

    Thanks!

BTW is it true that using 5th gear at too low a speed actually wastes fuel?

if u change gear in 5th kailangan nakuha na nang makina yung enough power den cruise ka na lang sa 5th gear.

As long as you don't need to press harder on the gas to make it move, it's okay. When it starts losing speed while you maintain constant pedal pressure, surefire sign yun na too low ang speed sa gear mo.

    Good luck!

Guess what... I (supposedly) won, 32.xx kms per liter (unverified) with my manual City.

    The run was 58kms.
