buhayin po natin yung thread supposedly, I see a lot of 4th gen owners out there coz I never fail to see a CRV on the road. i think the problem with the crv/rav4 and the likes is it caters to a different age bracket. yung age bracket na hindi na mahilig magforum. coz understandably yung nakaka-afford na bumili nito are the older guys who are already financially stable. papayag ba tayo ma-stereotype na puro mga daddy na? NO!

Yung gen 2 crv ko may leak sa rack and pinion.
Help naman which is the best option:
    1. Repair seal kit.
    2. Surplus.
    3. Brandnew. Replacement or original ( not casa )
    * where to buy and recommended repair shop?

Get the replacement but if you know someone na magaling sa power steering, get the repair kit.

Bihira mechanic na marunong sa repair kit. It will just leak again.

Drove my CRV to tagaytay, filled up from the Shell Magallanes station(cheapest gas there) and did the stop at the new Starbucks, got 17.5kms/liter on the MID. Average speed was 40kph econ mode off. In comparison to my Montero Sport, it does only 12kms/liter on the same trip. Pwede na!

    I get 5.5-7 km/L city driving with a gen1 CR-V AT (B20, 145 hp engine). 10 km/L highway.

3rd gen, by far. 2nd gen was notorious for FC. Everyone I know who has one only got 5 km/L city driving.

My service vehicle in the province for a time was a 3rd gen 2.0 AT. Got 8-10 km/L on mixed provincial driving.

Got the 2nd Gen. It's a 2.0 MT and it is true that it hovers around the 5km/liter range on city driving. Highway driving I can hit around 13kms/liter(can't get the exact figure on the MID since it is just a moving bar) when running on 80kph along SLEX.

Bro your second-gen had an MID? The one I drove before didn't.

It was the 3rd and 4th gen that I drove that had an MID, but the first and second gens where mostly analog.
