Familiar names and handles of CRV'ers...
4X4 CRV na launch na pala talaga. Sana magmura na accessories since standard na karamihan sa 4X4.

October 17th, 2003 12:56 PM #588I hope they're using a different spring rate for the suspension of the 4x4 compared to the 4x2. Hopefully, maging available ito for a reasonable price para maka-upgrade naman yung ibang 2nd gen peeps na may planong magpalit ng springs.

Since hindi ako maka-log in sa HCP, dito ko na lang i-post.....
Here are the TSBs done and fixed on my CR-V:
TSB 03-045 and TSB 03-047 A/T Shift Cable
BACKGROUND
If excessive corrosion develops on the shift cable
control pin, one or more of these problems can occur:
The vehicle moves when its in Park.
The shift lever is difficult to move in and out of Park.
The MIL is on or the D indicator blinks, and DTC
P1706 (transmission range switch open) is stored.
To prevent these problems, the shift cable control pin
must be greased, and the shift cable cover must be
sealed.
AFFECTS:
2002 CR-V 2WD with A/T: ALL
2002 CR-V 4WD with A/T: ALL
2003 CR-V 2WD with A/T:
From VIN JHLRD68..3C000001 thru JHLRD68..3C017034
From VIN SHSRD68..3U100101 thru SHSRD68..3U108589
2003 CR-V 4WD with A/T:
From VIN JHLRD78..3C000001 thru JHLRD78..3C045382
From VIN SHSRD78..3U100001 thru SHSRD78..3U154441
TSB 03-044 Throttle Cable
BACKGROUND
Contamination on the throttle drum can cause the
throttle cable to move with the cruise control cable. If
this happens when you cancel the cruise control
function, the throttle cable can jump its track on the
throttle drum, resulting in no throttle response.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Install a cap on the throttle drum.
TSB 03-049 Clicking from the Rear Brakes
AFFECTS:
2002 CR-V ALL
2003 CR-V From VIN JHLRD6...3C000001 thru JHLRD6...3C016079
2003 CR-V From VIN JHLRD7...3C000001 thru JHLRD7...3C042463
2003 CR-V ALL England-produced (VIN begins with SHS)
SYMPTOM
Clicking from the rear calipers when first applying the brakes after a change in direction.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The clearance between the rear pads and the calipers allows the pads to move slightly.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the rear brake pad lower retainer clips.
REQUIRED MATERIALS
Dow Corning Molykote M77 Assembly Paste: P/N 08798-9010, H/C 4503793
Clip: P/N 43244-S9A-003
My dealer thrown in rear brake pads and clips for free!
TSB 03-033 Noise from Front Brakes
AFFECTS:
All 2002 CR-Vs
2003 CR-V From VIN JHLRD6...3C000001 thru JHLRD6...3C009700
2003 CR-V From VIN JHLRD7...3C000001 thru JHLRD7...3C026301
2003 CR-V From VIN SHSRD6...3U100001 thru SHSRD6...3U106586
2003 CR-V From VIN SHSRD7...3U100001 thru SHSRD7...3U141931
This is the infamous brake clunk, click, pop, noise or whatever sound that most owners have described to be an annoyance whenever the CR-V is switched from forward to reverse direction.
This noise is caused by shifting calipers as it moves back and forth. Although there hasn't been any safety issuses compromised, the sound is quite irritating.
For a fix, Honda had previously issued a bulletin before that mentioned about placing business card cut outs to help brace it, but as we all know, that isn't a long term solution.
Honda has now come up with a newer fix and that involves the replacement of the lower pad retainer clips.
TSB 03-068 Door Lock Cylinder Binds
AFFECTS
All 2002 and 2003 CR-V
SYMPTOM
The key will not go into the door lock cylinder, or if it goes in, it will not turn.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The door lock tumblers are damaged or worn.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Remove the door lock cylinder, and replace the inner cylinder, springs, and tumblers.
PARTS INFORMATION
Door Lock Cylinder Kit: P/N 06720-S5A-305, H/C 7604499
Cylinder Rod Clip: P/N 72116-S47-901, H/C 5968136
Check nyo na lang kay ramrac kung applicable dyan sa inyo.

October 17th, 2003 11:10 PM #590Hmm, some familiar nicks nagtatambay pala dito ah. What's up with HCP boards???
Supes,
Ask ko lang, would you kindly post the URL of the 2nd page of the Honda Phils website? Yung non-flash pages. Thanks.
Windows XP kasi ako, kaya hindi di pwede mag-macromedia flash (front door ng Honda website). Kainis!
Thanks.
Changing the kidney grill to black is quite a stark difference. Sent from my SM-S908E using...
