I drive a manual FD, and yes, makunat ang clutch nito than lets say compared to a corolla.

But then again, sanayan lang. Di na ko naninibago ngayon ...

Am planning to buy a brand new FD this week (1.8V a/t vs 1.8S m/t). Leaning on 1.8S m/t right now because of added features (e.g. airbag, speed sensing door lock etc) and fuel efficiency.

My concern however is (as read in the previous posts) - it is really tiresome to use a FD m/t in traffic nowadays ? Otherwise, I might instead buy 1.8V a/t

Am a recent OFW who might work in Makati later on and will ofcourse, travel a lot in the provinces too

    TIA
If you're gonna use it everyday get the matic, it's 5 speed anyway.
It's easier to drive in traffic in matic. Today since coding, i'm using the manual that's why i'm gonna wait for rush hour to finish.

if having a hard time with the clutch is your problem, then matic talaga ang choice mo. but considering what you get for the 1.8s, dapat dun ka nalang. hindi sulit ang 1.8v considering walang foglights, airbag(passenger lang ata wala?), pangit ang color ng car seats, pangit ang mags... konti lang dagdag mo meron ka na lahat nun.

I drive a 1.8S AT. Sulit siya pag traffic but on long twisting roads syempre manual is the way to go.

to add to grabber's post - tapos kapag medyo pagod ka na lalo nang mahirap magtimpla ng clutch

    pero sanayan lang din yan...

Thank you so much guys for the feedbacks

After reading them all, am contemplating to even extend my choice to the pricey 1.8S a/t variant (add'l 50K). But if my budget can't and weigh the FC of both, then back to my original choice of 1.8S m/t (tama po kayo, the add'l features of the S variant are great)

I have actually tested both the 1.8S m/t and 1.8S a/t in one of the MM dealers last week. Love the acceleration of the former, and yes the clutch seems a little bit tight at first (namatayan ako ng makina nung unang timpla pa lang hehe) but got the hang of it later on. The 1.8S a/t handling is smooth as silk and the paddle shifter is really awesome. Didn't notice the hard seats though, as my eyes were fixed on the aero digital board

Maraming salamat po ulit sa lahat and will post my final decision later (hopefully within the week). Cheers!

OT : Have heard from my agent that FD's FC in m/t is approx +1km/l vs a/t? In your experience, is the figure just right po ba or higher pa po? TIA again.

oo nga pala. pag 1.8v a/t kinuha mo. wala din paddle shifter. kaya parang kung mag a/t ka lang sa 1.8s ka parin talaga mapupunta

    Hi mga bossing!

TANONG LANG PO!! HEHEHE!

Balak kasi namin kunin maganda kasi offer.

    Any inputs mga sir?

If the leak is in the front directly under the dashboard, check your airconditioning system. There might be a leak from a clog in the evaporator tube. Usually, an aircon cleaning is the solution for this problem. In my 4+ years of owning & driving an FD, I have not experienced leaking issues. HTH

*EuroFD - hi sir thanks for your suggestion.

    Hi

Nagpa 1st change oil ako sa casa. Tapos nilagyan ng engine flush. Safe ba yun?

question lang pala guys, is it okay to wait about 10months or so for the change oil? kasi namamahalan ako bawat punta. since its official honda casa naman at hindi pa ako umaabot sa mileage indicated what should i look out for para indication na time to bring to honda?

yeah I believe na SOP nga ng Honda yung engine flush. I remember seeing that item sa casa noon.

just an update, I had Speedlab's SRI installed on my FD today and ang sarap niya i-drive, I even love the sound at mid to high rpms... matched with Eneos Fully Synthetic oil... had a small chat with Ferman Lao who was dynoing a white K20 na ang ganda ng tunog... for display daw sa Manila Auto Salon next week.

then off to C3 to get me Philips XP HB4 and HB3... sulit ang dayo...
