Common flaw ng FD ang engine support. Sayang wala ka na sa warranty...kung pasok ka pa sana pede mo ma-claim yan.
Sa casa 8-9K yata magastos for replacing that. Meron na aftermarket which costs less (1-2K?) di ko na matandaan where. Question na lang is kung tatagal yun. HTH

Hey FD peeps and gurus. Tanong ko lang po if normal masira ang engine support ng FD? My FD is 3 years old, 37,000km on the odo.. is it a normal flaw? nakakainis kasi sobrang vibrated na FD ko.. whenever performing a cold engine start, manuevering the steering wheel, accelerating the gas pedal, also even on bumpy roads, mukang affected din yung front suspension because of the engine support.. sobrang tagtag. please HELP.. i really need inputs on this..

kindly share naman po kung paano na-resolve yung sa inyo.. and how much ang nagastos

hi sir yung akin 3 years din pero 9 days before mag end ang warranty ko na claim ko siya try baka ganon pala sa inyo check your warranty booklet

medyo di ko pinansin tong sa engine support issue na to. '06 FD user here pero I feel everything's ok naman except for the slight kalampag while turning with konting lubak... generally it feels solid parin after more than 4 years... pa check ko nga to next time sana its not too late kaka palit ko palang ng gulong...

I guess its how the car was used na din including the routes. Yung sa akin feels solid pa rin naman tho 28tkms palang tinakbo after 4 years. Medyo pinag iipunan ko na yang part na yan because as what Gecko guy said, common flaw nga ito. This is one of the popular threads sa website ng Teamfd.

yeah I saw that thread nga sa TeamFD. meron pa ngang illustrations pero di ko masyado ma-absorb for now. I'll ask about this engine support when I have my car serviced after Undas.

mga sir, ano pong rpm nagkikick ang vtec ng FD? Hindi ko pa masyado kabisado ang FD ko... May iba po ba paraan kung paano malalaman na nag-eengange na ung vtec bukod sa mararamdaman na bilis pagnaabot nya yung limit?

Wala atang kick ang FD, kasi i-VTEC siya.

Economy kick, meron, i think, *2-3k rpm.

Walang kick ang i-vtec para bumilis kung yun iniisip mo...but it does kick in!(for econo mode)
Pakabit ka i-vtec light if you want to know when does it "kick's in"

Ivtec light - It lights up when your engine is in i-vtec/econo mode. The longer you keep this up...the longer it's in econo mode = fuel efficiency!
In TFD site meron bigatin na nag-iinstall nyan. It's not his job but it's his hobby. Register ka na lang sa site grabber para makita mo.
Down pa din yung TFD site! Langyang hacker kasi yun!

Help please from the FD m/t users here

Am planning to buy a brand new FD this week (1.8V a/t vs 1.8S m/t). Leaning on 1.8S m/t right now because of added features (e.g. airbag, speed sensing door lock etc) and fuel efficiency.

My concern however is (as read in the previous posts) - it is really tiresome to use a FD m/t in traffic nowadays ? Otherwise, I might instead buy 1.8V a/t

Am a recent OFW who might work in Makati later on and will ofcourse, travel a lot in the provinces too
