June 8th, 2015 12:45 PM #13Got myself a Brio 1.3 S AT last week
coming from a lower displacement hatchback, i have to say that the brio really tops its class for power and refinement. hindi ka mabibitin dito.
The auto transmission likes to accelerate smoothly in the low gears, but very preppy once it reaches second gear. you will really feel the torque, and it feels really good for a car this small.
It is very nimble in handling, which you can expect for small cars like this. great for city driving.
Boot space is tiny. All other mini cars have better.
Mirage will considerably have the better FC with its 3-cylinder engine. but the brio has a decent 10-11kpl city driving. havent taken it for a long drive, but they say it can go 20kpl if driven economically (80kph)
The price of the brio is actually COMPETITIVE, unlike what most people say. At least for the entry-level S variant (649k for for brio AT). It (almost) has the same features as TOTL Mirage priced at 673k with a higher displacement.
Dont take my word for it. test drive both (I did).

may nakapagdrive na po ba dito sa highway ng brio nila ng lagpas 145kph? ang sabi kasi may limiter na hanggang 145kph lang top speed kahit kaya pa niya. yes I know this car should be driven economically but I am eyeing this car to be a sleeper project car at least the manual version of it.

June 15th, 2015 03:58 PM #15The limiter will be the 1.3 engine and the short transmission gearing.
Have heard that the GM City with the same L13 engine was good for around that speed din ~150kph.

I used to own a GM city, 150kph kaya pero matagal ma abot. You have to keep the pedal floored. I had the 5 speed automatic by the way.

December 27th, 2015 04:40 AM #18I use my Brio Amaze E for work...
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
