Civic is definitely better. Both in city and highway driving.
You can maybe opt for the A/T since the 1.5E City has an A/T transmission too.
FC -> City 8km/l ;; Mixed 11km/l ( Same vehicle, 1.8V Civic M/T )
The seats of the civic is quite hard. It keeps you uncomfortable at long drives, but don't worry, its tolerable... trust me.
The farthest area ive gone to was just manila-alaminos-sta. rosa-manila Right now, clocked 25k in it no problems encountered whatsoever
The color white is great and so does the bronze. But the silver is the easiest to maintain ( tested ;) )

November 24th, 2009 11:14 PM #9If you demand the automatic, get the City. Consider the Jazz too.
If you need the bigger car, Civic for sure.
Ok sana yung Lancer EX pero the only ones I'd consider are the GT and the GTA.
I'd take the 1.8S MT though. 908k vs 858k of the 1.8V.
60k diff for the FF:
+Foglamps
+Airbags
+16" Rims
Especially if you intend to keep the car for a long time, I think the "S" variant is a bit more worth it. Wait a few months and save up. You won't regret it.
Slightly OT: Only gripe ko sa Lancer EX GLX/S is that while it's really a head-turner, 'di bagay yung 16" Rims and the inside sucks (lalo yung wood grain) hehe. I don't mind the insides of the GT/A though.

November 24th, 2009 11:32 PM #10kapag nag 1.8s kasi masyadong malaki na yung difference from 1.5e ng city hehe.. kaya 1.8v lng and city 1.5e ang choices mga sir.. hirap magdecide..
Puwede i try, 1. Palit air filter 2. Linis throttle body 3. Linis MAF sensor 4. Check spark...
high idle RPM at engine start
