October 27th, 2012 03:27 AM #371Read this from Leftlane News as well as Autoblog:
Honda dealers asked to clear 2012 Civic stock ahead of refreshed model
Is this really bad news also for the PH market?
Or the good news, the 2013 Civic redesign for the US won't even reach PH market until the intended facelift date, maybe 2015 or 2016.

October 29th, 2012 04:21 AM #373thai models have better door fabric materials than japan exi..what i also liked in my variant is the 60/40 rear seat tumbling configurations..nakakabili ako ng 3 meter lth products sa hardware & just stash it inside from the boot without hesitation..as to the refreshed versions of the civic bahala sila as long as the market volume gaya sa US justifies the overall costs..my own civic will last as a classic FB unit for generations to come..

October 29th, 2012 04:56 AM #374The civic was one of the cars we were considering of buying in November. However, with the news, nawala sya sa priority namin. Im not sure lang kung may delay yong pagdating ng facelift sa ASEAN region, kasi the 2012 model was released in Asia simultaneously with the other regions, but then again this model fared very well in the PH market baka idelay nga. Yon nga lang if Honda does not introduce the refreshed model in 2013 in the country, Potential Civic owners might hold back buying the car until the new refreshed versin is introduced in the market. That means poor sales next year for Honda.

November 6th, 2012 04:31 AM #375This link shows only a series of spyshots of the 2013 US Civic redesign so not sure if this will truly be the actual design to replace the 2012 Civic.

But from the article, it says it has a new grille, new hood design, new front bumper and headlights. The rear resembles the ASEAN version of the Civic. No interior pics yet that I could find. Engine says still the same as the current gen.
So it's kinda like 50/50 if one is to buy now or wait for it because there might be changes to the interior or none at all, just better materials.

calling all FB members, we have a mini EB this coming MAS on Dec 1. MAS or Manila Auto Salon will be held at SMX Center MOA. Just look for the Civic entry on the show, that's our meetup venue. Hope to see you co-owners there!
