IMO, from a manufacturer's standpoint...
MPVs and Crossovers which are based on a common platform (like the Mobilio and BR-V / current gen Avanza and Rush) are basically the same cars. pero the SUV version has a higher selling price.
So they make more money from the same car.
Brio - Mobilio - BR-V share the same platform, Mobilio and BR-V uses the same powertrain of the City.
Imagine how much more money Honda makes every time a buyer decides to get a BR-V
Yep, phased out na.

true, i recall when it was launched, naisip ko mas ok BRV being the same car with better looks and package.
i'm wondering though how this still works for Mitsu's Expander Cross and Suzuki Ertiga's XL7.
yup i know this. I'm talking about yung model production, if gagawa pa ba ng all new 2022 Mobilio? on a Global (ASEAN) scale, may void sa compact 7 seat MPV sa line up nila.
no idea about the past BRVs pero yung bagong HRV at yung current CRV ay iba ang makina ng mga thai version.
^yup. hard to tell kasi 2nd Gen pa lang ito.
and yung first Gen BR-V was locally assembled.
Pero if you look at the HR-V. Hybrid yung Thai version, pero same engine tayo sa Indonesian version.
Next year siguro ang all new crv.
BTW.
May brv pang parating. Na sana ilaunch this pims. Kaso wala
