Thanks. If my time frees up I'd like to get back to writing for auto websites again. [emoji848]
We got the CRV because we needed a family car - so space and comfort were the top priorities. The CX5 doesn't have either. The Forester has space but not a very cushy ride.
Second in the running was actually the MUX BluePower. But handling was really no match for the CRV. And the interior feels very cheap compared to the Honda.
Just route the wires through the headliner and A-pillar. The problem with the CRV though is that the 12V sockets are in the middle of the center console so it's quite hard to hide the end of the wire. Worst case, it'll be the only visible part. I'll see if I can find a way to install the dashcam completely stealthily.
For the rear camera, same gameplan - route through the headliner, then down the C pillar, under the carpet, then up the A-pillar back to the dashcam.

January 29th, 2018 12:22 AM #2418before filling up gas, meter showed 6.6 kms per liter. after full tank, and mileage divide by gas filled, calcu showed 6.01 kms. mixed na yan traffic and di traffic. haaay. buti nalang naka save ako 110k sa excise tax. kaya heto... happppy pa rin. haha

The CRV 2.0S was 230k cheaper (pre-excise) than the 1.6S with almost the same feature set sans the 3rd row.
If the diesel gets 9 km/L in heavy traffic while you get 6.5 km/L, and assuming you average 12,000 km a year, at the current prices (51/L for gas, 44/L for diesel), it will take 6.5 years to break even.
Don't just look at your fuel expenses - consider your acquisition cost as well and you'll see that it's not so bad.
