October 6th, 2017 02:14 PM #7222If heavy naman yung traffic bro. Try to be gentle sa accelerator. Be as light footed as possible, and gradual and diin. I'm assuming na medyo gapang or mabagal talaga flow ng traffic, hindi mo na kelangan yung 0 - 40kmph na mabilisan.
Keep eco-on and maintain below 2000 RPM. If pmalo ng 2000 RPM, pitik mo yung accelerator, bitawan mo ng mabilis then tapak agad. Para mag recompute yung virtual gears.
Ideally sa heavy traffic dapat mga nasa 8-10km/L ka (light foot). Unless heavy traffic talaga then I think 7km/L is hindi malabong mangyari hehe.
On a side note.

Nung bago I enjoyed maintaining the efficient speed yung naka green yung indicator mo sa gauge but now wala na heavy footed ulit.

October 7th, 2017 03:20 PM #7229You do realize that for a cvt that's quite a miserable mileage you're getting. Ang cvt kahit anong feel nyo na ipa pedal to the floor nyo it wouldn't work simply because a cvt doesn't have any gears like a conventional transmission.

I've had the exact same engine on a car with CVT and 5AT (Civic FC and Civic FB) - fuel efficiency is actually pretty much the same - 7-8 km/L in the city and 15 km/L on the highway.
Point is - a CVT doesn't always equate to a signficiant improvement in fuel consumption.
Heavy traffic and hard driving will definitely drop a City's FC to CNS' 6-7 km/L.

Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
