Went up to Bagiuo before using our previous gen City 1.5E. Wala naman issues kahit puno kami. I managed to set a good pace going up Kennon. I don't the newer gen will have any struggles taking up the same route.

you cannot define fast and slow. we do not all share the same driving skills.
normal driving speed of one person is maybe too slow or maybe too fast to other person.

How about for AT without S or paddle shifters... do we stop first before shifting the gear from D to L/2 or no need to decelerate and just shift?

The problem is when coming from low rpm then suddenly going to high rpm without proper rev matching. When driving a manual, most people don't rev match - they just slot it to a lower gear and release the clutch and wait for the revs to rise. That puts a lot of stress on the clutch and transmission - you can avoid it by revving the engine to the expected rpm of the lower gear before releasing the clutch.

For automatics, most non-sports cars don't have auto-blipping, but the ECU is smart enough to be conservative about the downshifting (or ratio adjustment for CVT) to not burn out the clutch/pulleys.

Bottomline - engine braking is crucial for continuous downhill driving, and it isn't harmful to your transmission when done right.

May gumagawa ba ng ganito kapag downhill from Baguio?

its the skill of the driver in handling his car that differs his point of view whether he is going too fast or too slow. baguio is just ordinary for me since im used to steep inclines. we are from mountainous province anyway.
example are those taxi drivers in baguio. visitors outside the city who are not used to inclines might say they are too fast on dowhill even though they are just driving at their normal speed.

No. Too fast or too slow should be based on the speed limit of the road. Follow the rules man, hindi dahil kaya mo mabilis e totodo mo na.

hindi bro what I mean is iba iba kasi preference ng tao. ung iba kasi 80kph matulin na para sa kanila. ung iba hanggang 100kph lang kaya. ung iba more than that. thats why I say na magkakaiba ang mabilis at mabagal na pananaw ng bawat driver.
and also hindi lang speed limit ang basehan. pwede din ung acceleration mo. meron kasi ung driver na pabigla bigla mag accelerate meron din ung smooth lang acceleration. just my opinion lang naman[emoji111]

simply going down doesnt need special skills. just dont drive too fast and keep distance.

    Mga ka-GM6 Quick question:

May sound/alarm ba pag naka-engage yung hand-brake tapos nag drive ka for a couple of minutes?

    TIA
