Again, even if I am enjoying every bit of our Jazz 1.3L iDSI CVT now, I am more inclined to get the City next year. That is, if the current price ratio between the 2 vehicles is maintained....
(Is that shade of blue of the City same as the old Jazz or the current one?). I like the shade of blue of the old Jazz, but I own a red one....
Else, I'll go shop somewhere....

September 30th, 2008 06:15 PM #155Sana mga January na.
newbie here, planning to loan a hyundai getz 1.4 A/T or Toyota Vios 1.5G and Honda City 1.3 CVT by January. But After I read some of the forums here in tsikot.com I was inclined more to Honda City 1.3 CVT as my first choice and Hyundai Getz as second choice. I could probably set toyota Vios on the reserve.
Magkano kaya prices nung A/T variants. Sana magkalapit lang sa City 1.3 na CVT.
Kung sa 2009 e wala nang CVT, advisable pa ba bumili ng CVT na car? di kaya mahihirapan sa maintenance at parts after a couple of years...
need advise lang sa mga experts..

October 1st, 2008 10:45 PM #156hi airnoneknee, I was in your situation before. My 1st choice was vios but after reading different forums like "The Battle of the Transmission AT vs MT", "Vios vs City", JazzCity United web sites and so on, my decision twisted 360º and i finally arrived in choosing the Honda City 1.3 CVT. I read a lot of things across the web about CVT and almost 99% comment are positive. The 1% is yun nga daw di sya narerepair, or kung narerepair man eh very expensive.
Pero that didn't discouraged me! Nakabili na ako just last Sept 2, Honda City 1.3 CVT model 2006 with 15Tkm on its odo. Trust me!
Di ako fanatic ng introductory, pag initial release prone sa bugs...At eto nga 2009 bago na naman...just a warning lang sa mga nagagandahan sa City 2009...we'll see hehe...only 1 compartment in front? no ULT? no CVT? no 1.3? come on!!!!! make sure 2009 City will impress me on its Fuel Consumption...I doubt if this can beat the FuelConsumption of 1.3 CVT.

-Actually, my first choice was Hyundai Getz, then I shifted to Vios, then twisted again to City. The City 1.3 CVT price is in the middle of the three. The reviews and interior comfort of the City solidifies my decision for the City.

Meron na ba dito nakaexperience having a city and it serve him/her a smile in their face for more than 5 years?

-I agree, initial release are still subject for improvements, so not all problems are seen during dfmea. But least we can be sure though that quality is already there given the standard of the manufacturer.

Kailangan ko ng econimical na car so 1.3 CVT is well suited for me. Umuuwi ako ng province at marami laging karga pag bumabalik (saging, mais etc) so i need large compartment City CVT pa rin....sa quezon sa bitukang manok medyo mahirap na daan yun so City 1.3 CVT pa rin ang sagot...so that my needs kaya CVT 1.3 ako...and i am now very very very satisfied....
15km/L city
19km/highway
tinatarget ko yung 30+km/l ng eco challenge ng petron pero parang suntok sa buwan ehehehe....who knows pag uwi ko ng quezon at walang tarffic, tatargetin ko to...
