Purpose:
A digital gauge, use to read all information from the ECU . In a case of check engine light is on/limp mode this device is also use to scan error code . In the event of check engine light is on/limp mode the function of the engine is very limited, with this you can also erase the error code, turning off the check engine light or removing the system from limp mode.

Does it include modification (changing the values) of the preset settings (say timing, etc)? I believe that my car also has an OBD socket (A Grand Vitara), could you do a verification if it is doable for my ride sir jedi?

If you have this kind of connector in you car most likely its OBD2 compliant. You may do your research thou to be safe.
