we can't becoz we dont have a leader like Lee Kuan Yew....
what we have are the Arroyo's, Estrada's etc etc.....

try putting Arroyo or Estrada in Singapore as their leader and I assure you 100%, bagsak ang ekonomiya nila

We Filipinos tend to look for government leaders who are honest, corrupt-free and "ma-prinsipiyo" when we ourselves can't obey the simplest rules like example No Jaywalking laws.

Most of us would probably say no because it is so obvious na hindi naman sinusunod or worse, hindi man lang iniintindi ang nabasa, kung binasa man lang.

Ang masama pa nun, maraming gaya-gaya. Kahit mali gagayahin pa rin. Mahilig tayo sa "bakit sila ganito, bakit dun ganito" attitude. If only we could focus more on what we have and start from there. Stop complaining and do your own damn share.

Di tayo kagaya ng Singapore when it comes to roads but does Singapore have Boracay or Pagudpod? I use EDSA to go to those islands and kahit di tayo kasing asenso gaya nila, meron din tayong mga bagay na wala sila.

Singapore went thru a lot of hardship en route to where it is right now. So did Taiwan, South Korea, etc... Metro Manila looks like Taiwan and Singapore in the 70s. Fences built at the curb and center islands to control mobs from crossing the street. Street vendors being driven out by Lee Kuan Yew 'shock troopers' among others. Lee Kuan Yew led Singapore with an iron fist. Jaywalk, you get caned on the spot. Spit, you get a fine equivalent to a months wage. Throw trash you get jailed without trial. For us to be like Singapore, we need discipline. If we can't discipline ourselves, we need a leader with political will like Lee Kuan Yew.

While watching the MMDA go after streetvendors on last nights news, I told my wife, "looks like Singapore 30 years ago."

To be honest, since highschool ako when I played SimCity 1 (don't ask, matanda na hehe), I've always thought "damn, this game is tough", lalo na when I was placing SimCity 3000/4 na, there are so many basic things that Phil mayors don't even know and they'll probably screw up SimCity scenarios in 3 years or less hehe.

Hahahaha, I like this one! And to the Thread Starter, do you know what else is near Aljunied and Kallang? Geylang! Where *** trade is legal and open! I lived there for two and half years. Just alight at Aljunied MRT station, from Sims Ave. walk back to the even-numbered Lorongs and choose who you want to shag. 3-5 occurrences a day), mortality rate nyan karamihan ng victims ay bata at matanda, I won't be surprised 'coz I know how Singaporeans drive their cars (the worse I ever seen, walang diskarte), yan ang hindi binabalita ng Singapore media sa buong mundo.

Dahil sa Pilipinas, Bawal ang Tanga <- you violate this unwritten law, you get instant justice.
