Actually it won't weaken the steel belts per-se. The heat would however loosen the rubber mould in and around the area where the heat was applied. The next scenario that would happen is that a buldge would appear, then since the rubber compound and the steel belts are no longer sticking together, the steel belts would fray (loosen/mapuputol) ... pag yan nangyari, sabog ang gulong.
Yung tinitusok na parang may makapal na tootsie roll, yan ang nakakaputol ng steel belts. Avoid that type of tyre repair as well.
As much as possible, use cold patch vulcanizing. Walang luto, walang tusok.Last edited by lowslowbenz; June 3rd, 2013 at 03:58 PM.

yung sa S&R.. imported yung gamit nilang patch eh.. 2x na ako nagpa vulcanize don.. ok naman walang singaw.. photocopy nyo lang yung receipt nyo nang gulong kasi after a few months nabubura yung thermal paper.. titingnan lang nila yung receipt kung don binili yung tires.. then free vulcanizing na.. any branch to pala.. kahit sa ibang branch binili.. and yes.. compared sa ibang bilihan nang tires.. hindi naman mahal sa S&R.. libre din balancing and yung mga tingga wala nang bayad..
