Using the shoulder as an overtaking/fast lane

I've experienced what you had, about to exit then someone beams me but i still go through, they have brakes, my car is fast, if they meet an accident, it's their fault.

And if the accident results in damage to property, particularly my property and/or loss of lives, will everything be fine and dandy? After all, it's their fault...

If I performed a maneuver which resulted in avoiding the accident in the first place but the idiot gets away with what he did, wouldn't that be a better alternative? Bwahaha, he's macho, I'm not, I should sulk in my corner then.

My only concern is that I'm on the right side of the law. Always insist your rights if you have the time. If we continue to be passive, mediocre minded beings would continue to dominate the streets.

This is contrary to defensive driving principles.

Don't get me wrong. I have enough years of driving to know that it's easy to lose one's head while driving, especially in our streets. But we always have to have the presence of mind to do the "right" thing and react in the "right" manner. Or at least try...

To the TS, ok lang yung rant. I don't think you could've/should've handled the situation any differently.
