Too many PASAWAY motorcycle RIDERS on the street

Usual gawain nila: sabay mag pass/overtake sa left side and right side, sa stop light sinisingit in between cars, nagkukumpulan sa harap ng stop light blocking the pedestrian lane, pag nasa right lane turning right may sisingit na motor sa right side pero magle left pala, pag cross sa intersection may haharurot na motor as if he doesn't see the car crossing. Wow.

Many of them don't even bother to stop when the red light is already on.
(although a number of idiots in cars also ignore stoplights, the number of riding motorcycles who are beating the red light are greater in number and pose a greater risk to other motorists, IMO)

Also, many riders do not really know what lane they should be when approaching an intersection.

Actually in intersections, some of them behave or move about as if they were pedestrians so they can get through the intersection (i.e. sidewalk or tatawid on the pedestrian crossing of the intersection to get accross).

The problem is not their speed, it's their lane discipline. Besides, can you imagine being behind a dozen of them occupying all the lanes of C5, and they don't go beyond 40 kph?

here are two morons.. sa c5 yan.. pareho sila may dalang helmet, yung driver ng motor nakasabit dun sa left side ng hawakan, tapos yung passenger hawak hawak niya sa right hand niya.. ganun na ba katamad mga pilipino para magsuot ng helmet? nasa kamay na nga niya, bat ayaw pa isuot.. tingnan niyo yung ibang nagmomotor, lahat nakahelmet..

Just last night on my way to work (around 11PM), along C5 going to Bonifacio (Valle Verde area), A zig-zagging moron on two wheels was speeding (around 100kph I guess). Then a traffic occurred just before climbing up the Pasig flyover, the same moron was splattered all over the street (literally), helmet was flattened, his motorcycle was crushed, internal organs all over the road. My guess is a hit and run (or smashed and run) by a truck.

A very gruesome sight to see, but after seeing most of these uneducated drivers on the road (even had several accidents involving them and running away from you), I didn't feel sorry at all (I felt bad pa nga for my self kasi somewhere in me is saying "buti nga sa iyo")...

Motorcycles usually pass our vehicles' left and right side especially when we're stuck in traffic making the car's sides and mirrors prone to scratches and mark . What I do most of the time is move closer to the right side of a two-lane overpass (kalayaan going to buendia) so that motorcycles on my rear can't have the chance to pass my right, and instinctively, the car on my left goes the same way until were blocking all motorcycles in our rear. They can't do anything about it but wait for the traffic light to to green so they squeeze in again on the left side.

Try it, it is fun especially when you're driving a bigger vehicle like SUV or Van and its a bumper to bumper traffic

Moroncyclists should understand the frustration of car owners whose vehicles get bumped, dinged, and scratched by those who unscrupulously squeeze and cut their motorcycles. One example is the Makati-Mandaluyong bridge.

In a heavy traffic situation where vehicles are bumper-to-bumper but there is still a slow forward movement, it is very irritating when moroncyclists insists on overtaking on both the right and left side simultaneously, because instead of concentrating forward and on one side only, car owners suddenly have to watch out for motorcycles suddenly appearing out of nowhere, squeezing between the car and the bridge wall while another motorcycle is squeezing between two cars. It's maddening. I have on several occasions contemplated in crushing a stupid moroncyclist against the bridge wall (car dent be damned) just to teach a lesson. I have seen a couple of unsuspecting cars in this spot get scratched by these pests who then just run away. I wish there was a law where car owners are not liable for running over a moroncyclist who damages a car and tries to flee.

Start with a ban against motorcycle filtering between vehicles. Easier said than done, though.

Thing is with people here is that you give them an inch and they'll take a foot. Garapal. Filtering itself is no harm. It's the morons who scratch, ding and force themselves into tight spaces, other vehicles be damned, that are the bane of others.

An effective solution? Technically none. So, just do a blanket ban on the practice.

Mas maganda siguro kung baguhin muna ng gobyerno yung sistema sa LTO pati yung pagbibigay ng lisensya...

Tsaka mas maganda na rin kung X10 yung mga penalties pag lumabag sa traffic rules...

Hindi lang naman motor eh kung hindi pati 4wheels din ganun...

Sana lang rin eh palitan na ng MMDA yung mga tauhan nila ng mga at least college graduate para naman tumino sila...

You can't blame the majority of Filipinos who could only afford motorcycles as an alternative for brand new cars. The industry to blame should be the companies selling this motorcycles. They just kept on selling and selling enticing the people with tight budget to have possible early meeting with death himself. Government should raise taxes on this.

agree, a lot will not be allowed to drive if only lto is strict on issuing liscenses, imagine nun kumuha ako ng lsiensya dati, pagalit na sinabi nun LTO employee sa isang fixer: "ano ba naman yan dinala mo dito kukopyahin na lang yun sagot mali pa !!!!"
