With all dues respect to Atty. Dalaig and his kin, what was he doing in a casino?? It's against the law for government officials to gamble, and as Mon Tulfo pointed out, P300k is a relatively big amount for a mere Comelec Director to carry (and perhaps squander).
I'm beginning to think C/Insp. Yanquiling was right in asserting that black propaganda is being spread about him because he was asking the hard questions no one seems to be asking.
Can't say the same about this Cabatbat though. Ang vibes ko kasi kanya, corrupt eh.

^ Normally, suspended police officers or those undergoing investigation are assigned in a "holding center," or an administrative department where they are effectively put on floating status.
Or, as in the case of those cops who botched the hostage situation in Pasay City years ago, they are sent for retraining (in Subic or some other place). It's a form of administrative punishment while their case is on-going.
