Is it discoirteous not to use turning lights at all times during turning or swerving?

It was mean at all times how about if traffic are clear, MV or pedestrial are far away from you that they are not affected whether you turn your lights or not (my personal question, because it also happen to me)?

Dito kasi sa Province kahit malayo yung sumusunod sa isang sasakyan may nakikita ako na nagsisignal, sa Manila naman pag nagsignal ka lalo na kung bumper-to-bumber e mas malaki ang chance mo na di maka-swerve.

I know turning or turning-lights is essencial, but for me its non-sense especially if your alone along the traffic!

On the other hand, there are also douchebag drivers who will use their signal lights and will bully you out of your lane. Kadalasan naka SUV sila.

For me, road discourtesy yung hindi ka papa-overtake-in. Yung tipong pag sinusundan mo sila, sobrang bagal. Tapos pag mag-overtake ka, bibilisan nila.

Happened to me several times. Yung huli, sa isang 1 way road, may isang lite-ace na sobrang bagal. I tried overtaking, nung una ayaw nya magbigay. Second attempt, I floored it in first gear. He ate the dust. Ta's makikita mo sa side mirror, nagmamadali hinahabol ka. WTF.

Natawa ko dito pre. Tama ka ganito talaga sa atin.

Dagdag ko lang yung mga nag-uuturn instead na sa left side e nasa right side lalo na sa edsa ayaw pumila sa traffic. Kapag masunurin ka sa traffic sigurado mahaba lagi byahe mo.

May nakasabay na ako na EK VTi Civic sa NLEX dati na ganyan. Todo tutok sa mga nakabalandra sa left lane. Yung problema lang dun kay EK is kahit bilisan ng tinutukan niya or hindi pa maka-lipat dahil may katabi, tutok at ilaw pa rin si EK. Sinundan ko from a distance just to see what happens to him and ayun, yung isang Xtrail na tinutukan niya, binilisan habang sobrang tumututok pa rin si EK then nung may delivery truck silang inabutan (pero hindi kita ni EK dahil sa sobrang tutok niya), at the last moment nag swerve si Xtrail to the middle lane, muntikan sumalpok si kupal EK sa likod ng truck.

May nakasabay din akong ganyan sa sctex flash ng flash sa akin kaso di din ako makaandar ng mabilis dahil may sasakyan sa unahan ko tapos may sasakyan din sa gilid ko. Nung makatabi ako sa kanan hinayaan ko siyang mauna tapos pumwesto ako sa likod niya at ako naman ang nagflash sa kanya para malaman niya pakiramdam ng ginaganun. Mokong na yun kita na ngang may sasakyan sa unahan at sa tabi kaya di makausad kuntodo harass pa ginagawa.

Another case sa highway, barubal umovertake isang rav-4 (2006 model) kahit kurbada at alanganin.
Tatlo kaming inovertake-an bago dumating ang kurbada, swerte nya at tricycle ang kasalubong, umilaw at gumilid na lang yung kawawang tricycle.

Nung naka-tyempo hinabol ko, hinintay ko uling may overtake-an habang nakabuntot ako para isang tuhugan na lang.
Ang problema, karerista yata! di bumalik sa linya agad, babad mode in between lanes. buti na lang at may shoulder kaya napilitan akong gamitin ang half ng shoulder to overtake him.

After that hindi ko na din sya pina-overtake! Lesson learn for me at swerte pa rin!!!

I do a lot of long drives and one of the unsafe drivers are those who don't know how to overtake or pass properly:
- They don't properly speed up when they're passing or they slow down immediately after passing, so the following cars are compromised.
- Overtaking when the oncoming lane is clear, but they don't see that there's no space for them to merge in ahead.
- They don't signal their intentions.
- When someone is passing them, binibilisan nila.
- Overtaking in blind areas.

Last night when I took a u-turn there was this vios who was far away but he was flashing his lights and honking his horn, malayo pa lang siya nun ha and kalkulado ko naman na I could take the turn safely. Ayaw talaga magbigay at diretso sa pagbusina, nainis ako so I floored my pedal and took it, my tires even screeched, naiwan naman ang mokong, akala mo angbilis. He did not deserve my respect. Wala na bang bigayan ngayon dito saten?

If I where you I will slow down a bit after you know you're already entered to his lane to the point that he will use his brake a bit.

As far as I know, u-turn slot is a first-come first-serve basis also, unless theres a traffic light or traffic aid!

The right of way belongs to the car going straight on the main road however as aforementioned, the car was still of considerable distance from the U-turn slot so he does have to slow down and yield to the vehicle coming from the U-turn.

i would prefer to do otherwise instead - not to slowdown once i got to his lane or at least just maintain my speed.

i wouldn't want others to do to me what you suggested also.

sobrang nakakaasar ang mga ganyang driver.

dati pansin ko mga jeep usually ang ganyan. ngayon, pati mga private na rin.

at hindi rin marunong mag on ng headlights pag lumalabas sa slot and onto the driveway

or yung bigla na lang lalabas ng slot kahit na me mga dumadaan

puro mga walang pakiaalam sa kaligtasan ng sarili at kapwa!
