Do you think its feasible in the near future that a skyway type of structure be placed on top of EDSA? Just curious and thinking forward. Or should I say daydreaming.

so how are we going to bring our old relatives (grannies and the like) the the hospital in another city? bus? ayaw nga magsakay ng bus drivers ng pilay at matanda kasi mabagal sumakay/bumaba, gusto ratrat ng ratrat.
actually, i've always wondered kung possible na maging isang giant circumferential road ang EDSA at R1 road. kaso malabo eh.
1.1 Only one of those chokepoints is caused, in part, by private vehicles... that's the Magallanes flyover... where cars crossover to U-Turn left onto EDSA from Sergio Osmena... blocking everyone coming up the flyover from EDSA>

What they need to do is to address the choke points. Where in the world can you see a road having 7 lanes and in just 1 kilometer, becomes only 2 lanes? (Guess where is this)

Too risky.
As it is, all our eggs are already in one basket. All the buses, jeeps, cars and trains pass through EDSA. Imagine, then, what would happen if there was an earthquake and all four layers of EDSA (overpass, regular road, MRT, EDSA-Skyway) collapse at a single point?
That's why it was important to complete C5... which is no longer enough, either. You need to divert people away from EDSA to ease congestion.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I think we need to evaluate also the use of tunnels. I was thinking that the government should invest in a TBM that will dig drainage/sewers first then use the same TBM to create roadways.
