Yan.

I myself got into a lot of altercation sa kalye - busina to the max, dirty finger, gitgitan sabay babaan ng window, duruan, murahan. Disciplinarian kasi ako, and feeling ko pag may tanga sa kalye its my responsibility to give them a lesson. And then minsan naisip ko na di talaga worth it makipag siraan ng araw at mood sa mga balasubas na driver.

I tend to control my mood sa kalye simply because driving is my personal therapy.

    1. Think that everyone on the road has a family or love ones waiting for them to reach home, office or random place - it's just wrong to sow hatred around the road on your way to people who are dear to you.

    2. A few seconds on the road means nothing. The way home or to the office is not a time attack race. If you are running late, dont rush, more than half of the reason why you are running late is all on you, and other drivers and pedestrians dont deserve your recklessness on the road. If you feel you are late, then be late, learn from it, pay the consequence yourself and don't let anybody pay it for you.

    3. think that All drivers are good people too, like you. Find an excuse for somebody who almost sideswiped you or hit you. Thank them for not hitting you, and dont hate them for ALMOST hitting you. Tell them to take care the next time. Forgive them, let go, and focus ahead. You almost died, but hey, you are still alive.

    4. Always practice courteousness while driving. from the garage to the parking lot - try waving and giving way to pedestrians and cars who cross your way. U will feel better, and light, even though the traffic is bad.

    Cheers!

To be honest, dati sobrang taas ng road rage level ko.

Also noticed that kung sino kasabay mo sa road, sya din ang magiging kasabay mo sa stoplight down the line. Maske kahit anong pag weave in and out pa nya sa traffic. Magkikita parin kami.

It is human nature na gusto maacknowledge yung good deed. So I always honk or wave to those who gave way when im turning or merging.

    Very well said, sir!

Totoo, kadalasan pag running late tau, we have this tendency to blame everyone on the road except for ourselves. As I always tell my friends and colleagues at work when they always blame traffic for being late, "Tayo ang mag adjust sa oras dahil hindi mag a-adjust sa atin ang traffic".

One more thing, when my dad is still alive he would always tell me na while driving and when someone does something wrong on you (sumingit sa pila, nag cut, nag abrupt turn even without signal, etc.) learn to let it go, or pagpasensiyahan mo na lang muna. Besides, we never know kung anong klaseng tao ang maka encounter natin sa daan.

Konting nasingitan or hindi napagbigyan, affected agad pride. Walang composure at all, laging stressed.

Stress adds up over time, kaya yung iba nag snap na pag may nakaharap na pumatol.

Sign of discipline and maturity if you keep composed on the road. If everyone practiced this, at least mabawasan traffic ng konti. You'll still get to your destination. Don't let driving ruin your day.

I used to be short-fused while driving but age has mellowed me down.

I guess most of us, if not all of us, are guilty to road rage at some point in our lives. But like what I read from the poster above, hayaan na lang, let them go. Siguro naman some of us experienced road rage, to the point na gusto natin habulin or bawian yung sumingit or nag cut satin. I learned to ease up on the road and let go of those drivers, just by thinking of family, Lalo na kung sakay mo sila. Second, I also think about my car.
