well considered "the ultimate test" yung pag-drive sa EDSA eh. it's considered a legitimate part of the driving training. pero nung ako, nag quickie training lang ako (yung 5 hours). at hindi ako pina-drive sa EDSA, hanggang fort bonifacio and makati side streets lang.

hmm... mukhang ikaw yata yung mas may fault diyan. sounds like you were following too closely (what if it wasn't a student driver tapos biglang may tumawid na jaywalker sa edsa or some other emergency diba, e di ganun din, a panic stop is a panic stop), plus, may sign nga naman na student driver, so it would have been best to exercise extra caution following the car. hindi naman dahil student driver palang yung driver, siya na palagi may kasalanan hehe

at least maliit lang yung bangga hehe, it could have been worse

Just basing it on the text posted.

In almost any case, ang nakabangga sa likod ang lagi may kasalanan.

Isa lang kasi sagot dyan eh, unless high speed, slick road (ice/rain) ang scenario, there's no reason why you can't stop in time when a car stops in front of you. Kahit sudden brake sya.

If the Altis is driving at around the same speed at you, sudden braking at 50kph will not stop the car to zero agad, there will be quite a bit of skidding (or gradual braking kung ABS) before it comes to a full stop for you to hit.

2nd, if the other car isn't that old, kahit papano di sya yung mga bulok na na oto na walang tail-light. Again, unless it has ceramic brakes or something, there's no way it can suddenly stop without ample time for a car behind it to swerve or brake in time.

Lahat ng scenarios only points to the car behind being too close for its speed.

Kasi if you're driving 50kph up, you're not that fast din to cause the car not being able to brake properly unless kalbo gulong mo like jeepneys.

Yup.

OK!?

kawawa tuloy yung student driver, mejo shock yun kasi nabundol sya! ako inaamin ko i'm not an expert driver, kaya pag nasa medyo alanganin akong situations, ino-on ko temporarily yung hazard lights ko, then pag "back-to-normal" na ang situation chaka ko na lang uli ino-off yung hazard lights ko.
