I was driving on EDSA towards Makati on a bright Sunday afternoon. I was running at about 50-60kph. Traffic was light, your usual Sunday traffic. Right after I passed Crossings underpass, there was a car, a Socialite Driving School car to be exact, na biglang prumeno. I was about 10-20 meters away from the car when I saw the rear brake lights so prumeno na din ako. Running 50-60kph on a Pajero, medyo bigla yung preno kasi mabigat yung body nung oto, umabot pa din ako dun sa Corolla (Socialite Car). Hindi major bangga, more of tapik lang nung Pajero to the Corolla. My bumper had minimal scratches which can probably be removed through Detailing.

After the slight impact, I went down and the Driving Instructor went down as well. The conversation went like this:

Me: 'Ano ba naman yan Pare, EDSA 'to, bigla kayong hihinto ng ganyan?'
Instructor: (says nothing and just points to the Socialite Driving School sign at the back of the car)
Me: 'EDSA 'to Brod, pag hindi pa yan marunong wag mo muna dalin dito. Major road kasi 'to e (with a slight grin)
Me: 'Hindi praktisan ang EDSA. Major road kasi 'to.
Me: '$%!*#. Ikaw ata hindi marunong magturo e'

To make the story short, ano ba ang responsibilidad ng mga driving school in case nakabangga sila or mali yung student driver sa driving. I understand na eventually they have to teach students how to drive on major roads.

Your Php 0.02 will be appreciated.
You rear ended the car, it doesn't matter if both of you are driving in rural road or major highway, its still going to be your fault. Student driver have to drive in major highway in one way or the other, you as professional driver, should know better to stay way behind them and give them more space than usual.

    Medyo OT:

May kilala kong nag-aral diyan sa Socialite na iyan. Puro mali ang itinuturo! Hehehe. Buti na lang na-correct pa namin. Kung hindi, driving the 'Socialite' way siya ngayon.

As per info from my better half who was then a driving student of Southern Driving Sch, it is prohibited to teach students on main thoroughfares, espressways and highways, but not on old public highways and city streets, in this case EDSA is considered as highway. So, may responsibility din dito yung driving school. In which case extreme caution should be observed when trailing such vehicles with placards displayed as student driver.
