POLITICAL CORRECTNESS (Noun): conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities (as in matters of *** or RACE) should be eliminated.
COLLINS DICTIONARY
Political correctness is the attitude or policy of being extremely careful not to offend or upset any group of people in society who have a disadvantage, or who have been treated differently because of their ***, RACE, or disability

pinaguusapan dito bakla, hindi race.
gay is still gay. fat is still fat.
as you can see filipinos living in the philippines are not that sensitive about race. only those living in the US (and we don't blame them for being so because they live there) are sensitive about PC. as we live in a more forgiving society and are not surrounded by people like the kind you live with over there, we do not consider calling fat fat as politically incorrect. we also do not believe calling a gay person gay is politically incorrect. bakla is bakla. tanggap yan, barkada mo man o hindi.
so why insist that we should think like you do? mr. Webster may define PC as such, we don't. Webster defines PC as PC is in the western world. we in the philippines define it another way. fnck webster!

spaghetti na lang e iba ang pinoy spaghetti, political correctness pa kaya.
like they say, when in rome do as the romans do. well we're not in the US so why define things like how the americans do? all your quotes of webster and britannica will not change how filipinos define things. it is what's called CULTURE. we are not wrong when we define things as we know it. if the writers of webster and britannica were filipinos born and bred in the philippine islands i am very sure that definition will be very different from what you have quoted.

October 19th, 2014 06:06 PM #178Filipinos not sensitive about Race? Nagagalit nga agad mga Pinoy pag sinabing Domestic Helper.
Here is an article about a Filipina being stereotyped as a Maid in SG.
Naturally, my friend and her husband, being proud Iskolars ng Bayan, were conversing in Tagalog in the taxi on the way to their condominium. As the taxi drove by inside the condominium complex, the taxi driver couldn't hide his admiration for the elegance of the condominium complex, he then turned around and told my friend, "Wow! I admire your boss for being so kind to let you and your husband stay with him and his family in their home." There you go, a Filipina consultant for a global bank in one of the financial centers in the world was rudely mistaken for a domestic helper. Rappler.com August 2014.
