pero mahal talaga singil nila. mas mahal pa kesa sa mga taxi. :horse:
pero...mali nga yun ginawa nung kutsero. some people are like that if they found out na tourist ka they woyld really increased the price of their services/products.
probaly what we can do is inform the authorities (manila city hall or the dept of tourism) 'bout that.

August 14th, 2006 10:48 AM #18we had a similar experience at tagaytay/taal a few years back.
inalok kasi kami ng kamag anak to go up to the taal crater via pony/horse ride. pagdating namin sa tuktok, kanya kanyang inom ng softdrinks and juice ung mga handlers, tapos ang sabi daw e bayaran daw namin. as expected, sobrang taga ang presyo(can't remember the amount, pero ridiculously taga). of course we had the option to refuse, but fear and anxiety got the best of us i guess. pagbalik pa namin sa baba, hiningan pa kami ng tip. kapal.
malamang na spoil kasi ang mga yan sa mga foreigners. while i do understand that money is hard to come by, i'd imagine nobody ever wants to be taken advantage of, mayaman man o mahirap. that being said, i don't think we'll be going back anytime soon. ok sana ung view, badtrip lang sobra sa mga tao.
kahit naman kung bumabaha sa MM, andaming nagsasamantalang kuchero and tricycle drivers. on one hand, they don't exactly earn that much; on the other, i don't particularly enjoy being extorted, kaya more often than not lulusong na lang ako sa bahaLast edited by badkuk; August 14th, 2006 at 10:52 AM.
