Tama lang yan. Parang Right Lane Must Turn Right lang yan. Eto naman, Left Lane. Proper or more obvious signages should send the message, and when they don't follow, your friendly neighborhood buwaya comes next. But they should be consistent with this ruling and its enforcement, and with the signages. Di pwede yung paminsan-minsan lang.

dami ko nakikita na nasa right lane na may sign "right lane must turn right" tapos di naman pala kakanan. pag binusinahan mo sila pa galit. eh di nila alam dapat pag nan don ka kumanan ka. kaya nag tataka ako kung bakit kelangan pa ng drivers license sa atin eh kung sino sino lang naman nakaka kuha, basic traffic rules and traffic signs di alam.
Dapat talagang hulihin yung mga nasa rightmost (and leftmost) lane na may signage na right (or left) lane must turn right (or left) na hindi pala liliko.

But bottomline is that traffic signs are mere suggestions, so unless you have strong enforcement, these f-cking violations will just pile up until you can't find the correct implementation anymore.

OT: Hehe goes to show us Filipinos are still so naive about traffic rules... not all ofcourse but a good majority... kanya kanyang interpretation. Nakakatawa but theres some truth to the joke daw na for filipinos... traffic lights and traffic rules are just 'suggestion'... pag hindi nahuli... puede..

Seriously though i apply the rule na when in doubt (like no signage) i follow the traffic light. Better to err on the side of caution... rather than argue with a traffic officer...

Iyan kasi ang tinatawag na unprotected right turn,- o right turn with caution....

Katulad sa isang intersection na walang left turn signal ang traffic light,- anyone can turn left if his lane is green,- BUT with caution... Ang kaso,- either gusto niyang siya ang priority or ayaw ng kasalubong niya to keep the intersection open,- kaya this basic traffic discipline will not work here....

Well, this is when you've given everyone enough of a chance to change on their own and nothing is improving. Time to bring in the cops and do enforcement.

Thing is, where can we find the non-crooked cops who know the law and how to implement the law?

Personally I think the signs are clear, but the law enforcement isn't.

No right on red is self-explanatory. Same with right/left turn must turn right/left. Combining them is an "and" statement so you can't go straight if you're on the rightmost or leftmost lane, and you can't complete your turn until the stoplight says green.

However, MMDA and LGU enforcers don't seem to understand this very well, or are being very selective about it.

Case in point: intersection of Julia Vargas and Meralco Ave.

If you're coming from Megamall, traversing J. Vargas towards Tiendesitas, the leftmost lane is exclusive for vehicles turning left. If you go straight, your friendly neighborhood enforcer is waiting for you.

Now, on the opposite direction (coming from Tiendesitas going to Megamall), you can stay on the leftmost lane but not turn left to Meralco and instead go straight.

Both directions are of equal width, so lane clogging isn't supposed to be different.

What we need here are steel bumpers and dashcams, OR patience. Kahit stoplight di naman sinusunod. Napapadalas na yung humahabol kahit red light na, and I'm talking about private vehicles.

Kapag sira naman yung stoplight, it means 'infinite GO'. :rofl01:

No Right Turn on Red Signal
Usually may nakalagay pag puwede kumanan on red light.
Proven na ito as per my experience. Huwag basta susunod kapag PUV ang kumanan.

for clarification lang po... pag wala naka lagay na "no right turn on red" is automatic na "turn right with care" diba???

Sa akin, pag walang "No Right Turn on Red" - kakanan ako when it is clear.
