For us new car owners, it really sucks when we get apprehended because that "no plate, no travel" policy before our plate is issued to us (courtesy of LTO). We as car owners are made to pay for the penalties of not having our plate number yet, which is not entirely our fault as to why we do not have our plate number yet.

Rules state that we can use it for a week, assuming our plates are issued to us one week after our purchase. But, in my case, it has been almost 3 months and no plates yet for me.

Apparently, those "extension" papers do not work at all for these traffic enforcers.

Oo nga sir. Saan ka ba nahuli?

Kami nga rin eh. Natatakot ako kasi baka may mang-huli saamin kasi wala pang yung extra papers. Hindi pa napapadala saamin ng SA namin.

Better call their hotlines bukas mga sir to confirm kung na lift na ba yung No Plate No Travel policy. It's their fault not to issue on the plates and stickers on time. I've checked their website and most of the page under maintenance.

In Makati, they will refer on the last digit of your conduction sticker as the basis for UUVRP scheme. Well not for long, a Makati Traffic Officer flagged me down and showed me the memo from the City Hall regarding traffic regulations.
