No Plate - No Travel

For us new car owners, it really sucks when we get apprehended because that "no plate, no travel" policy before our plate is issued to us (courtesy of LTO). We as car owners are made to pay for the penalties of not having our plate number yet, which is not entirely our fault as to why we do not have our plate number yet.

Rules state that we can use it for a week, assuming our plates are issued to us one week after our purchase. But, in my case, it has been almost 3 months and no plates yet for me.

Apparently, those "extension" papers do not work at all for these traffic enforcers.

Depende which traffic officers, sa Makati ibang iba talaga they have their own rules separate from the MMDA...

Kami nga rin eh. Natatakot ako kasi baka may mang-huli saamin kasi wala pang yung extra papers. Hindi pa napapadala saamin ng SA namin.

Better call their hotlines bukas mga sir to confirm kung na lift na ba yung No Plate No Travel policy. It's their fault not to issue on the plates and stickers on time. I've checked their website and most of the page under maintenance.

Ako nga laging napaparanoid everytime ginagamit ko yung sasakyan. Di ba me problema naman talaga issuance ng CSR na yan kaya di mai-rehistro mga bagong oto.

nung bumiyahe kame papunta ng UST to see my wife's OB, from Las-Pinas to Manila ay napakarami naman palang bumibiyahe na mga bagong sasakyan kaya napawi ng konti kaba ko. Yung iba sira na yung casa (for reg) plates nila. ako wala na parehong nilipad ng hangin.

so far dito mga TE sa LP at Muntinlupa deadma lang...

panlaban ko lang laging makintab yung oto.

Para sa mga curious, may coding din kahit brand new ang kotse. In Makati, they will refer on the last digit of your conduction sticker as the basis for UUVRP scheme. Nung bago pa yun car ko kala ko pwede ako bumaybay sa Metro Manila / Makati. Well not for long, a Makati Traffic Officer flagged me down and showed me the memo from the City Hall regarding traffic regulations.

..... Memo their a#* , Sila sila lang nag kakaintindihan sa Rules & policy nila instead na ipaalam or announced it muna sa "Public". Lalo nyang group ng anti - smoke belching ..kuno..... perwesyo kayo sa lipunan.

I got my plates almost 3 months after it was released from the Casa.

Here is what I did...got a copy of the or/cr from the SA...included as well were the copies of the sale invoice and release papers from the casa. What the SA did was to leave the date blank...photocopied it then gave me those photocopies with the blank dates on it. All you have to do is use a date stamp to put in different dates and you're good to go.

If you get apprehended and the enforcer/cops check the Odometer, just tell them you took a trip to Baguio or somewhere far to justify the high reading.

pasensya din po but i couldn't help but make a comment. alam ko hindi lang sa makati ang tumitingin sa conduction sticker as a basis for 'coding' kung wala pang plates. talagang last digit ang basis sa buong metro manila, right?

Technically di parin pwede kasi nga NO PLATE, NO TRAVEL.

Sir, nung time na bumili ako ng car ko (late 2009), nagissue ng letter yung lto na registered na yung car ko pero no plate available sa kanila (kasabay ito nung nakuha ko yung OR/CR ko). Nung pinara ako sa makati, pinakita ko lang yun, ok na, no violation.

One and a half months na wala pa din license plate ko pero kanina di naman ako hinuli ng mga taga LTO na nag aabang sa Mindanao Ave. kinabahan nga ako baka parahin ako... buti nalang bagong carwash oto ko.
