Yung iba naman, emblem ng kotse napagti-tripan. Naisahan na rin ako before.

May nakikita nga akong mga tricycle na may mga emblem ng kotse. Minsan, nasa kariton pa nga ng mga junk boys.

If its like the BMWs na may double lock its a little harder pero kaya din. may mga technique. minsan near the door handle or yung iba sa middle ng window. may pa deretso ang tusok ,may pa slant din. Kaya i never rely on my alarm system. before i leave my locked vehicle i make sure that i use the club on my steering wheel.

yung sa rav4 may nakalagay rin na ganun sa manual... pero mukhang dinelete yung option na un nung sinubukan ko.

how about engine immobilizers? hindi ba mahihirapan ang magnanakaw dun?
Any additional deterrent na mailalagay mo is worth it.Lalo na mahal na mahal natin mga tsikots natin.

I have other scary stories if these thieves really want to take your car:
Steering wheel lock-Electric saw or they spray it with freon. when its frozen, they hit it with a hammer. since malutong na ito, it easily breaks.
Alarm system-They crawl underneath and use a cutter on your negative wire near the battery. after they open the door, they install the wiring back and your beloved tsikot is gone.
Then the Slim Jim or they simply tow your car away. Scary world.

I saw it on TV, but don't know if possible. The thief had one of those handy/portable car starter that you easily plug in your car lighter outlet, and then you can now start your car if your battery is dead.

So what the thief did with this portable starter, he modified the design in such a way that it will generate an eletrical charge to a prong, so he used the prong to touch the body of the car, and it just simply fried the car alarm. After that, he can use the slim jim to open the car's door.

Is that really possible to fry the car alarm, by introducing high current/charge on the negative terminal of the car?

    OT:
About that key left inside the car. I had that happened to me in the US too, with a rental car. I called the rental car company and then they told me to break the quartet glass of the rear door, and then I was told later, that they will just charged it to insurance... hehehe Ayos sa solusyon...

my 'muntik na' story: one evening several weeks back, nung malakas-lakas yung ulan, pinasok yung kotse namin, get this -- sa loob ng bakod namin. kinuha yung CD case ko (with about 50+ CD's) pati yung glove box (with papers, receipts, a flashlight and a streetmap) di pinatawad. buti na lang they were too dumb to figure out how to take away the stereo -- my headunit has a detachable face. pag-check ng bro ko nung tumila yung ulan, ayun na, bukas yung kotse, tapos yung face ng HU ko, nakasabit sa isang hinge na lang. funny thing was, there were no signs of forced entry -- no broken glass or drilled holes. maybe they used a slim jim.

kaya hayun, pakabit kami kaagad ng alarm tapos double up on security measures kahit saan pa mag-park. the next morning, a barangay tanod came to the house to bring back the envelope containing the papers in the stolen glove box. nakuha daw ng nawasa worker pagkatapos iwan ng dalawang lalaki sa isang waiting shed na malapit sa bahay.

KAKAGALIT! GRRR! pero wala nang magagawa except to charge it to experience.
