if i'm not mistaken, RATS' acquiring bank(their provider of T7-machine where you electronically swipe the card) is Equitable Cardnetwork, Inc(Equitable Card Center, 203 Salcedo Street, Legaspi Village, Makati City)....philip, confirm mo ito tapos gawa na lang kayo ng formal complaint ...acquiring banks spend millions to provide merchants with T7 tapos wala naman palang silbi sa kanila...kung manual approval lang din ang kailangan, bibigyan naman sila ng approval code ng customer service ng acquiring bank and RATS can complete the transaction even without the "plantsa"...kahit ballpen pwedeng gamiting sa sales slip...

M54 Powered, palagay ko umiiwas din iyang si Mike sa discount rate(acquiring bank's percentage from the gross sale of the merchant, RATS) ng Equitable...dapat talaga malaman ito ng acquiring bank...

tsk tsk. This guy is single handedly killing ARB's rep. Kung ayaw niya tumanggap ng card, withdraw na lang niya yung card service niya. sheesh!

I agree with freeman's guess, but its still no excuse for his actions. Well, if you want your ARB's you know where to get (or maybe NOT TO GET) them :D

I still think this incident should be reported to the card provider, since this is a denial of service.

OT:: freeman, anong batch mo sa LSGH?

I have heard a lot of complaints about Rats but I personally never had any experience in dealing with Mike. I also have my share of disgruntled customers.

Why did Mr. Kwok and the sales clerk react irrationally to that transaction? This is my GUESS - Mike probably wanted out of it, he probably changed his mind about the price he quoted and thought he could sell it for a higher price to another buyer.

If you really feel that you were treated shabbily, as a consumer, it is your right to complain to the manufacturer/supplier and to the credit card company. If not, treat it with a grain of salt, and let fate decide on Mike's future.
I have already firmed up my decision never to patronize any product being carried by ARB as long as incompetent management runs the business of RATS. I find RATS very unprofessional in dealing with their customers. Thus, for me, it's not worth giving their company a fortune in any form and from whatever source!

Actually, part of my plan is to replace my stock bumper with ARB winch bumper as well as upgrade the Vits bushings to Super Pro polyurethane -- but RATS products are now TABOO to me! I know that there are other brands out there which are at par with or better than ARB products. Can anyone advise me which brand to consider? Is there a Calmini dealer here in Manila? I've been thinking of getting that 6" combo lift in the future.

    Thanks.

199 Off-Road House ata may Calmini stuff. You can always get them straight from Calmini sa States siguro.

Could this be the start of the the 'boycott RATS' movement?

I told my dad not to get ARB stuff anymore din. Sayang, the products are quite good pa naman.

Sir Suzuki-san, I'm sorry you had to waste your time with them.

Doc Otep ::: Talagang nasayang ang oras ko! Imagine, I went there at around 11:00am para di ako mahuli sa meeting ko ng 2:00pm. Tapos inabot ako dun ng 2:30pm because of RATS's inefficiency and poor customer service! Hindi lang yun, napahiya pa ako kay Philip at nasira ang araw ko! Kung hindi sila magbabago kawawa sila ... there would come a time na mawawalan ng business yang mga yan!!!

Sabi nga ni Jack Welch "IF YOU DON'T CONTROL YOUR DESTINY, SOMEBODY ELSE WILL."

Sana merong big-shot businessmen dito na makabasa ng thread na ito at magka-idea na competensiyahin ang RATS. I guess if there would be someone or a group who would negotiate well with ARB Australia and explain to ARB how terrible RATS handles its business, it might be possible that ARB would grant those parties a distributorship license and allow them to import directly from Australia. They could also establish a joint venture company for the sole purpose of doing business with ARB. These are only my thoughts, pero I hope na sana magkatotoo!

I was also informed that RATS slaps-on an extra 5% if you purchase with a credit card. This practice is technically not allowed by card companies...

Mike Kwok of RATS has done it again!
