That's true. I think hanggang Alabang wala talagang nanghuhuli for speeding?

Going North I NEVER drive. I don't like going to places I am not familiar with.

Sa SLEX, kalat kalat talaga. No way to go but weave if you plan to travel faster than average. I think they're spoiled because of the wider lanes in SLEX. NLEX recently widened but people still kept their discipline from its 2-lane days.

The North remembers... people from the South

I also have this feeling a lot of douchebag drivers used to driving in congested areas who rarely go to the North don't really know how to drive fast in open roads.

They used to have a checkpoint in Skyway near the vicinity of C5 junction but that was for a short while only. Going to Makati from the south, enforcers have no way to stop overspeeding motorists as there are no more toll gates to stop them. Maybe with the new tollboths being constructed in the C5 junction, enforcers can monitor overspeeding motorists from Alabang, Sucat, and Bicutan. However, they still have no way to apprehend those speeding their way to Makati.

However, I do notice that left lane hoggers are not that common in Skyway when traffic is light. Most would be happy cruising on the middle lane.

Mga trucks at buses nasa 2nd lane from the right.

I also tried to take McArthur up to Mabalacat.

i pass by nlex almost everyday and a lot of slow drivers are hogging the left lane. yung iba pag nailawan o nabusinahan tumatabi pero mas marami ang walang pakialam.

what we need is a paint stripper dispenser at the back of the car. just move to the front of these a-holes and dispense

these people shouldn't get away unpunished!

It's not. But I believe that the left lane should be kept clear.

isa pa pala madalas mangyari sakin, nasa passing lane ako at mabagal nasa harap ko naka ON na turn signal ko (right) kasi im planning to change lane kasi bagal nga sa harap. ikaw yung bubusinahan at i-highbeam ng nasa likod mo (99% of the time SUV). di ba nila kita na may lane hogger sa harap ko at pilit ko nga kumanan at timing lang kasi may vehicle sa right side or may approaching vehicle sa lane na yun. ito yun mga taong maaksidente kasi harap lang nakikita at di mindful sa surroundings. oh feeling nila sa kanila naikot mundo, at lagi mo silang pagbigyan ?? Well, if I'm the one at your rear and I'm trying to pass, even if you're doing 100 kmh, then you are slow on the passing lane. Hehehehe

Kidding aside, it is best you move away from the passing lane if the middle or right lane is clear. Just use the passing lane to move ahead of slow traffic in the middle/right lane.

    "makupad" is always relative.
how fast is the other vehicle that's trying to overtake it?

yes if you hog it. even if you go at 120 kph in the PASSING LANE and hog it then you are makupad. you can only stay there for as long as there is no vehicle behind you. BUT do check the rear view mirror and switch to the right lane when a faster vehicle approaches from the rear.

sabihin naman e di overspeeding yung over 120 kph? problema nya yun. basta tumabi ka.

Rule of thumb: If there's someone on your ass, pull over to the right.

If there are no more lanes on the right, then stay where you are. It's his ****ing problem.

    -

They did enforce rules against left-lane hogging on the SLEX in the past, but only very sporadically. On the NLEX, they are more active, so many drivers are conscious of it.

Those who aren't are probably from the south.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I like this relatively new road sa slex. It's after Sto Tomas exit. I can go really fast in that stretch. I only drive South so I'm used to these left lane hoggers [emoji14]
