When someone behind you na padating at kita mo ng mabilis you should make a move to the right, dahil magiging obstruction ka sa left lane. Minsan may nakasabay akong two lancer boxtype same porma nila at kulay red running at 80kph sa Cavitex ginawa ba naman parada.

In an attempt to enforce speed limits, blocking the passing lane from someone who is travelling faster than you is just dangerous. Accidents occur in a matter of seconds. You really don't want to be on the other end of a vehicle running at 100+ kmh.

Pag taga North daw sumusunod sa keep right except to overtake.

Not sure I buy that hehe

Well, there is a bit of truth on this. NLEX/SCTEX/TPLEX motorists are much more disciplined compared to SLEX motorists.

From experience, this is true. There is a bit of semblance of correct lane behavior on NLEX/SCTEX/TPLEX. Kung nasa overtaking lane man, pag nag-high beam ka, they move when possible.

Sa SLEX, kalat kalat talaga. No way to go but weave if you plan to travel faster than average. I think they're spoiled because of the wider lanes in SLEX. NLEX recently widened but people still kept their discipline from its 2-lane days.

^^^ I take SLEX everyday and you have no choice but to deal with such things. In the southbound Bicutan stretch, it is common to find yourself waiting for a chance to move ahead of a slow-moving vehicle on the left lane and a truck/bus on the middle lane. You can take your chances on the rightmost lane (exit to Bicutan) but that is slow moving most of the time.

Yung shoulder noon, ginawa nang 3rd lane ngayon, so legal na yan. 😂

It's true I regularly travel South.

It seems like the North is much more strict than the South. And I read several times na tsikot members getting tickets at the North but I haven't heard anyone getting a ticket at the South

Around 12am. Southbound so sa Calamba toll gate ako pinara.

Kaya yung "namamaril" ay nakapwesto between Silangan Exit and Calamba toll gate.

Thanks for the tip, bro!

Bro., I remember there is/was a provision in SLEX that you can run 120KPH (or about 20KPH higher than the vehicle you're overtaking for a few seconds - 20-30sec(?) and you should be okay for as long as you go back to the max speed limit of 100KPH.

Thank you.
    100kph ang speed limit.
But you can go up to 120kph for a few seconds if you are overtaking.
So mas playing safe on their end na hulihin na lang yung mag-over 120kph.

Most speedometers are off by a few ticks so 120 kmh on your speedometer is most likely 115 kmh.

Going back to the topic, if you find yourself trailing a fast vehicle on the left lane with slow vehicles on the right, just match the speed of the vehicle in front of you and switch back to the middle/right lane after passing the slower vehicles.

i think iba-iba ng intindi mga nagmamaneho sa atin about sa left lane, fast lane, keep right etc. una akong nakapag-maneho sa ilang siyudad at highways sa mideast (uae/qatar/oman) so i know yung definition ng fast lane paguwi ng pinas nakabili ako ng sasakyan, nagkalisensiya at nagmaneho na kapag nasa bakasyon. si misis ko nag-driving school sa A1, dun niya yata natutunan yung rason na hayaan mo lang yung nasa likod, bahala siya kung gusto mag-overtake pansin ko rin sa dalawang drivers na tinatawag namin like may sundo sa airport, madalas along nlex/sctex/tplex nasa inner lane sila palagi at 100kph. nung una hindi ko pinapansin pero nung tumagal, pinagsabihan ko na keep right para makalampas yung nasa likod. si misis ang palaging kontra, naging mantra na niya yung lumipad sila kung gusto nila
