Rule of thumb is, if it has a solid line, you cannot change lanes. You see these usually as you approach a traffic stop or intersection, on bridges, or winding multi-lane highways, etc.

White solid lines separates lanes that are flowing in the same direction. Yellow solid lines (typically, but can also be white) separate lanes that are flowing in opposite directions.

I'm thinking that the traffic enforcer caught you breaching the white solid line.

My bad then. And you're within your right to contest the violation ticket.

Buwaya talaga. Good luck TS. Wag mo hayaan na lang yan. Pag napatunayan na wala kang kasalanan biglang magiging maamong tupa yan for sure. Paawa epek.

    Exactly what happened to me.

I asked the enforcer what the difference bet. Swerving and Changing lanes, hindi siya makasagot. Pina-alis na lang ako.

Nahuli din ako sa Makati a couple of weeka back. Unregistered vehicle (late registration), i didnt contest na kasi late talaga. Anyway, nakalagay sa ticket na valid for 5 days siya. Hindi ko lang alam if pwede siya ma-extend.

If you're coming from ayala, and plan to turn right to P. de Roxas or Rufino, you must/should pass into the PUV lane (inside the yellow barrier) and then make the turn when the lights are green.

If a bus or jeep is in the way, businahan mo ng todo. Irritable mga enforcer manning those areas kaya papa-go nila kaagad yang mga yan. If you switch lanes "after" the yellow barrier, foul na sa mga traffic enforcer yan. The MAPA is guarding Ayala/Rufino intersection, while MAPSA is guarding Ayala/P de Roxas side.

that was exactly what i was doing sir.

my mother was flagged down last year because she did not pass at the puv lane and instead turned right from the 3rd lane to paseo.

sabi ng enforcer kahapon dun daw dapat ako dumadaan. labo...

dapat nga dumaan ka don sa yellow lane or sa bus lane.. kasi pag nandon ka sa 3rd lane.. 2 lanes yung kukunin mo para maka turn right.. minsan may mga bus na didiretso so mag ca cause ka pa nang traffic non.. kasi nag change lane ka from 3rd lane.. araw araw ako dumadaan dyan sa ayala turning right sa rufino.. ganon talaga dapat gagawin.. pasok ka sa bus lane don pa lang after nang stop light.. then 2nd lane ka lang dire diretso hanggang wala nang bus pwede ka nang lumipat sa 1st lane..

thanks for the tip sir lowslowbenz. ganun din kasi ginagawa ko hindi ako sa puv lane dumadaan bago mag turn right. hindi pa naman ako nahuhuli madalas kasi sunday ako dumadaan dun. pero one time may enforcer dun nag right turn ako not using the puv lane hindi naman nya ako pinara. siguro nagkataon lang na mabait yung enforcer.
