    You mean they'll gonna fixed it in the Honda factory? If so, its much better rather than fixed it in the dealership only. Hoping that everything will be alright now after the repair and check up.

    Yup! I went for a visit to the Honda Cars Plant in Laguna Technopark. I saw your City there in a special service area... 1.3L iDSI, Beige color, plate# Z**-**6... Is this it? The unit came from Tarlac via vehicle trailer. I was told that Mon Tulfo is the one following up on the status of the unit.

    The Honda Cars experts are scrutinizing the car very closely and handling it with utmost care... The way I see it, the car seems to have passed through some cracks in the quality checks. Cracks that were most probably created by their CBA discussions a few weeks back...

    IMO kahit maayos lahat yan di na talaga 100% maging ok yan. kumbaga lamog na sa kaka-kalikot. pero ok na yan at least ginawan ng paraan.

    In fairness to Honda Cars Philippines, the way I saw them handling the car, hindi ito lamog... You could say, 'pampered' pa yung unit...

    yep im sure world class ang alaga nila pero iba pa rin yung tanggal-kabit then tanggal kabit uli na mga parts..i wouldnt want that in a bnew car.

    thats the best solution na rin cguro, walang lugi on both parties.

    I thought the article came out with P. Star? Isn't Tulfo from the Inquirer?

    Can you elaborate more on their CBA?

    I was told they had some problems with their labor unions...

    Perhaps my unit was sabotaged?

    Yes... Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations with the labor union. During deadlocks, certain disgruntled workers tend to become lax in their quality of work. This also happened to Toyota Motors, when their workers went on strike a few years back.

    hmm...di ba CBU from Thailand na yong facelifted City? Bumpers at gulong na lang ata ang kinakabit dito. Correct me if i'm wrong. Or unless ckd or skd (?) pa ba yan pag dating sa pinas?

    If the latter, then pede may kinalaman yong CBA. Otherwise, domain ng Thai QC yong chassis, windshield seal na pinagmulan ng leaks. Unless nga meski CBU e sinabotahe...unlikely naman siguro IMO. Di naman siguro ganon pasaway ang labor.

    Old adage in HRM --- "take care of your people and your people will take care of your business". Still very true.

    siguro nakaapekto na rin ang pagkakasulat sa Philippines Star kaya napadala sa Laguna ang City. Honda being one of their advertisers, was warned or informed about a grievance from an unhappy honda city owner.

    it is very unfortunate that such things do happen. while the negligence on the part of 1. dealer 2. manufacturer, let us hope that this will serve as a lesson.

    i mentioned dealer as number one negligence because of the what should have been done in the first place on the car at the onset of the problem. i mentioned the manufacturer second because, even if they had the overlooked the Quality Control, still the dealer should have dealt with the issue at the onset of the problem. i'm sure, the manufacturer would have acted promptly as their reputation is on the line.

    let us put a resolution on the matter and hoping the swift action should bestow.

    6months na yun civic ko... okay pa rin...

    ALTHOUGH TUMUTUNOG/SUMISIPOL YUN AIR-CON KAPAG NAKA-IDLE NG MATAGAL...

    i think pwede pa ibalik yun car... unit replacement yan since sobrang bago tapos nagkaproblem agad... kung aayusin nila wag ka pumayag kasi 2-6 weeks wala yun auto mo...

    Same problem with my year-old 30,000 kms City 1.5. Too bad that I can't replicate the whistle. This problem rarely occurs though but started even before it reached the 1,000 kms. Had it checked but Honda Kalookan (all praises for this casa!) says everything seems ok. Appears everytime I'm caught in a crawl or as mentioned, long idle.

    My other car (Civic 2.0) at 7,000 kms and 9-month old is at tip top shape, only complain is that it's a gas guzzler. he he he

    Off Topic: i should add, i have a 96 Civic. so far no problems at all except for the imminent mechanical breakdowns over time being. still, very satisfied with it. just no mention of the parts. PMS, got no problem with that, but parts, quite expensive really.
