Hello everyone, ask ko lang if you have ever experienced having your car towed ILLEGALLY.

It happened to me yesterday when I went to Mc Donald's Intramuros with my friends. Nung nag park na kami, parking ticket attendant approached me and was going to issue a ticket, I was kinda surprised cos I was not aware na may parking fee na pala doon, since it was my third time to park there, so I asked how much then about its legality (marami kasing ganyan) maybe the legality question triggered her to turn her back at us and went away without even bothering to answer my question, nag murmur lang, I didn't hear what she said, So I thought illegal nga since hindi sha nag explain.

So what I did, I confirmed it with the security guard at Mcdo kung may fee nga, sabi nya meron daw, and I even said, ganon ba yun kahit dito kami sa parking ng mcdo mag park may bayad pa rin? which I think was just a natural reaction since we're going to eat there, dahil ganon sa ibang place, once u purchased something free na ang parking or 50% discount, i-va-validate lang. Well ganon daw talaga, under ng Intramuros Authority. I said to myself, ok, later na lang kami mag bayad after kumain... Here's what happened... after a few minutes, oorder pa lang kami ng food nun (mabilis pa sa bumbero) tinawag ako ng guard na yung kotse tino tow, I ran after it and asked them what the problem was, they just ignored me and told me dun na lang daw sa impounding compound makipagusap. Here's my violation: refusal to pay the parking fee kaya tinow.

Makatwiran ba ito? To ask about the legality of something you are required to pay is considered refusal? And my question was not even answered! And also it was our 3rd bloody time to go there and no one had ever asked us for any fee before! Natural magtatanong ka talaga. Anyway, let's say na refusal to pay na pala ang interpretation nya sa pag ku question ko, did that give them the right to tow my car just like that? And fine me 1,500? Again my car was at the proper parking slot. If they had a problem with me about that parking fee incident, they should have just apprehended me accordingly (OA), confiscated my license or whatever! But never touch my car! It was parked at the proper place!

It was soo embarrassing, 3 girls kami, 20 pesos tatakbuhan namin????

And to make things even worse, dahil ayokong magbayad sa violation na feeling ko hindi ko naman na commit, Intramuros Authority official spoke to their parking attendant in front of us, at nag iba ang kwento, she said: my officemate was about to pay but I just stopped her, told her daw that I NEVER PAY parking fees! ano ako anak ng general? and of course yung ang tinake na side ng IA, though her statement was just plain ridiculous, naman! kababae kong tao sasabihin ko yun!?! Well, dun sila kikita eh. They did not even give us the chance to react when she was there. But in the end, after a tedious argument na cut in half yung babayaran, naging 750. Again, if it was really my fault, how come na nagkaron ng agreement na pareho kami nung parking attendant na magbabayad ng 750 dahil pareho daw kaming mali!!! Take note IA ang nag suggest nito hindi ako! TAMA BA YUN??? I am not even sure kung pagbayarin nila ng 750 yung parking attendant, eh empleyado nila yun and baka may bonus pa since ang 20 naging 750?!?! talagang racket lang nila yung tow ng tow dahil 1,500 kaagad kahit tama ka o mali.

Sa mga na experience ko na pay parking pag di ka pa nakabayad pag park mo, they could always ask for it before you leave.

That's plain BS. Anong klaseng logic mayroon yun IA?

yun ba IA eh naka-katipunero outfit. madalas kasi ako sa Intramuros and most of the time parati ako nakakakita ng nag-argue na pinoy vs. mga katipuneros. for a foreign tourist, not really a good sight to see ....

taka din ako sa mga mayari ng mga fastfood joints dyan, there was this one time nag-brief park ako sa Greenwich for my wife to order take-out. ambilis ng parking attendant and the guard of Greenwich kunwari dedma. pano sila magkaron ng customer pag ganun.

Sorry to hear that. Ganyan talga dito sa Pinas eh, grabe talga ang pangdudugas at all levels.

Honestly, I think take it as a lesson nalang. Next time, whenever you deal with anyone in that level, whether mmda, parking attendant, street children, security guards, try to be as polite as you can although kumukulo dugo mo hehe. Like pag may makulit na bata sa stoplight, i always use the words "pasensya" instead of the usual reaction ng motorists na isnobin sila and it seems to work and they dont bother me anymore.

At bakit kailangan nyang magsinungaling.
