I don't really think asking TE's is a good idea. let's beware people.

    Hi marg,

i am not defending them, please read between the lines. you plan not to commit errors, if you commit errors after planning then you plan it the wrong way. in most cases, ignorance is not an excuse.

Just a different perspective. Something is lacking from this story, not all the facts are laid out. I don't think traffic enforcers will just scold and yell at someone for no apparent reason. The world isn't as bad as some people think or project it to be. Sometimes so-called journalists abuse their privileges(?) as much as politicians and government officials. And some bloggers tend to feel like they should also be accorded such privileges.

I think there's a problem with your logic. In life, you cannot anticipate all events.

There are things that are beyond planning.

Just read on D-Day of WW2. One of the best planned events of history, dami din errors. Daming namatay na Americans and British.

In this case, and advise mo "Change the Driver", kasi hindi niya kabisado yung streets ng Recto? Is that even logical?

"Manong, alam mo ba ang mga kalye sa Avenida?"

    "Sorry, hindi po"

    "Sige lumayas ka na."

Never ako nagtatanong sa poilce or TE. Namimili ako at usually girls tinatanungan ko.

    Bias na kung bias.

    Marg,

This is getting nowhere and this will be my last post on your thread. I do not want to go below your level of thinking. Another tip for you, hr people hire employee to provide solution to the problem not the other way around. I will explain this so you will understand better, cecile should hire a driver who knows the places she often visit to avoid having problems such as the recent incident.

There was no indication na that place was one that she visits often.
Hinde naman din indicated na company driver yun so I don't know where your HR bit came from. I get it what you're trying to say but I don't know why you said that way. And kung Family driver naman yan, most of us just screen for capacity to drive well and attitude, hinde naman ako magtatanong ng "Kung pupunta tayo sa *so and so unfamiliar location* kaya mo ba akong ihatid duon?".

Kahit anong plan plan pa, things will/may go wrong. Whenever I go to unfamiliar places I have a planned route, a map, have google maps ready, and a small note of key streets/landmarks to look for but I still/have gotten lost. Kaya lang I don't like to ask for help so I just backtrack na lang.
I respect the driver for asking for help instead trying to "wing it". Wala naman masama mag tanong.

Anyways, I don't get your post as I'd had nothing to help about the problem. Hinde naman problema yung naligaw e but yung mga TEs na trying to impose violations on you just because you're asking directions.

Anyways, bahala na. I was just confused by your post and replies.

To the topic at hand; I've ask for directions from TEs before sa Manila, never pa naman ako naka-experience nyan. Baka namimili ng lolokohin?

Baka hinde mukhang "hasa" yung driver?

So you need HR people to hire a Family Driver?

Provide solutions, what are you looking for, a CEO?

Cecile did mention that she rarely goes to that side of Manila, so she should get a new driver who knows the Recto area?

Ang Weird ng logic mo, dude. What planet do you hail from?

The worst I had gotten from a TE was when I purposely drove into a bus channel in Cubao so i could be eye to eye with him when i was asking for directions to a specific bus line.

He was apprehending me for doing so. I told him that I only did so because i wanted to ask questions without impeding the flow of traffic. Plus it was a Sunday at 630am without any bus in the channel but many cars passing. Sumubok pang maka-delihensiya.

Other than that, he was very polite. Sp really i do not expect any less from other enforcers. Google maps and Garmin are not 100% accurate locally. It misses a u-turn slot and bus lane etc.

Never pa ko nagtanong sa mga bwaya na yan for directions.

Basta pag red light, gawain ko roll down ko window then ask for directions from other motorists. Dapat malakas ang boses pero polite and dont forget to say thank you. It works all the time.

Magastos yan.

Dondon Posadas? I will remember your name forever and will never hire you.
