specifically, the stretch of road from tutuban to delpan. i read in the news a while back that some cops were sacked because of the worsening traffic condition there.
well, we just got back from that area this morning and the traffic (not to mention the garbage) was HORRENDOUS! only one lane was open in the eastbound and westbound lanes because of the sidewalk vendors, delivery trucks and public vehicles blocking the other two lanes. we go there constantly on business and i keep hoping that the situation will improve but it doesn't. (the prices there can't be beat, sigh)
does anyone know the reason why the beautification programs of manila seem to skip this blighted, depressing place?

No cops will be sacked here, I promise you. been living and passing this road for rest of my life. Generations from former police station 11 chief Abarsoza ( Now MPD chief) still goes on like this xmas time... Imagine the collection from vendors they get runs into hundred of thousands a day plus the collection from jeepney and taxi and FX, etc....

No mayor can effect changes to this road portion during xmas time, AND MIND YOU this year got worse cause of the opening of 168 mall pHASE 3, even soler strret are so infested with street vendors not unlike last year and previous years to that...

I now rest my case as No mayor can solve this crisis without the right commitment to be fair and not only thinking of their purse...

I pass by divisoria area everyday and it's a 'hell' of a commute. Abusive trip-cutting by jeepneys, the WORST pedicabs in the Philippines, kalesas that drop their S _ _ T everywhere and lastly BLIND POLICEMEN! One time it was so traffic and the intersection was a tangled mess, I had to get out of the car and pick a fight with one jeepney driver and one pedicab driver just for the MMDA there to take notice of the traffic situation. After I was finished with both drivers, I turned my ire on the MMDA officer and gave him a piece of my mind.

Yow guys! wala na tayo magagawa sa lugar na yan. Even during my school days, ganyan na talaga ang Divisoria especially during this season until Tondo Fiesta (3rd wk of Jan) so better iwasan ang lugar na yan kung ayaw nyo ma bad trip hehehe

    Happy new year tsikoteeers!

Kung gusto po nating makatipid sa ating bibilhin, kailangang habaan natin ang ating pasensiya (tipid nga kaya sa gasolina?). Kung hindi po, DV is not the place for us....

Any mayor who can clean up and clear up Divisoria deserves to be elected president.

Therefore, no mayor would be elected president.

If you want to clear Divisoria, it's very easy, elect a mayor who lives in divisoria, cause for sure, yung mga anak or relatives will complain kapag natraffic sila sa lugar ng mayor..

Or better yet put Malacanang or Office of the mayor in divisoria....

yung ginawa ni mayor pedestrian only ang avenida lalong sumama trafic sa raon area... lalaong dumami ang vendors, trafic na nga binawasan pa kalsada, matatapang pa vendors lagi kasi may protection from the barangay and the police... pag may raid may advance party to tell the vendor to pack and run
