last year nag rollback sila ng 10% due to stronger peso 55 to 50=$1
nag anounce na sister company nila "maynilad" ng price reduction by early next year...

Where do they source out their equipment and services anyways? If its from the states then yes, they ought to roll back because of the strong peso. If they're sourcing locally, then there's no reason the exchange rate should affect toll fees.

your right sir. but their reason for the increase was the weak peso to dollar exchange.....now that dollar has weakened, they should also decrease the toll fee. i think it was more on the dollar loan they applied for to fund the project.

the clamor was aired last night on the evening news (gma-7)...
kailangan paba si presGMA ang manguna??? gaya last year sabay papogi "maynilad" nga being their sister company nag announce ng rate reduction sa water bill effective early next year...

mabigat na pasanin sa traders/commuters/motorist ang mataas na singil sa NLEX

Yup, sad to say that the toll fees are sticky going down....

Reasons why the toll fees were pegged that high were the regular amortization that they are paying because of the construction, and the maintenance of the road/facility.

I guess that the cost of the construction was the biggest chunk (and it was paid in dollars). So, logically the toll fee should go down too.
