Dealing with Hot Headed Drivers - How?

Mas maganda pa din ang umiwas. May nang-gagago sakin sa daan dati. Ang kulit talaga.

Nag-drive na lang ako sa center island. Napatanga na lang ang g*go. Hahaha.

Dati nagkamali na rin ako nang ganyan minura ako nagpasalamat at nagsori ako bumaba may dala baril kinatok side window ko binaba namin window namin kasi apat kami sa loob nang car ang tapang kasi nakatutok sa mukha ko yung baril mura nang mura di nakatiis yung mga kasama ko naglabas din nang mga baril pucha di nya alam puro pulis kasma ko ano ba laban nya apat na baril nakatutok sa kanya laban sa isa na nakatutok sa akin.

Yun natakot si gago tatakbo hinabol nang kasma ko pucha di pala pulis or kung ano man. Nagtatapang tapangan lang tapos paltik pa yung baril.

Yun nagulpi na sya kulong pa sya. nagmakaawa yung asawa sa amin pagdating sa presinto. Dami anak anim kasama lahat , tawanan kami nang tawanan sino magpapakain dun sa mga yun. Pinatawad na lang namin sa tuwa nung asawa pinaghahalikan pa kami kabwisit sana kung maganda. Kawawa lang yung mga bata madadamay sa kagaguhan nung ama nila. Ngayon minsan tumatawag sa amin at nangangamusta at nagbago na daw sya hindi na sya mainit ang ulo.

Iwas na lang bro baka makatapat din yan nang hindi nya kaya.

Somebody did gave chase to me once. I was going home and had overtaken him at the highway around mga 2am (no traffic here in Cebu kapag 12mn na)... after which I noticed he was speeding up from my rear view mirror. So being the guy that likes competition I increased my speed to around mga 160kph weaving thru a lot of corners and after a few mins we finally came to a stoplight... I just opened my window and gave him a really big smile =) He also opened his window and did the same and we both just laughed at it and said "see you around, next time" =) I haven't seen the car since then... would be nice to have another "rematch" LOL

But a sincere smile goes a long way =)

hahaha baka may mga bystanders na nakakita sa inyo akala mga 'bayot' kayo. haha. well its nice to know there are still friendly drivers out there. although its still not advised to race on the streets. by the way, where in cebu can you run 160 kph??? sa reclamation? or sa bagong srp?

We actually did it on the mandaue highway going to SM from Consolacion... there is a long stretch of straight road there and a stoplight at the intersection going to SM City Cebu.

Not doing that again anytime soon though :Dhahaha that was about mga 4 years ago when you could still fill up your gas tank with just Php 500. Right now, with the prices of gas... I just accelerate up to 3000rpm and that's it hehehe

it's always a good thing to stay cool..... "I'm sorry" is very powerful...
there's nothing wrong with apologizing ..... but be prepared to dock, just in case it's a good idea to avoid eye contact, keep windows shut and drive away....
it's not worth the fight... and you don't lose a bit of your manhood that way.....

usually, it's those who are insecure or uncomfortable about themselves (manhood, intellect, esteem, etc.) who are prone to road rage... the opposite stays away from trouble.....

Once while at full stop lined up in traffic a passenger jeep sideswiped my car as it overtook the cue via illegal counterflow. I went out of my lane and gave chase. When I cut him, the jeepney slammed my rear causing added damage. I immediately got off to confront the driver but I saw the switching of drivers. When I confronted the one who actually drove, four probinsyano-kargador types menacingly denied my charges and dropped names of local politicians in their area. One even challenged me to bring them to the mayor.

Only my wife and minor kids was with me at that time. I had to back off when my wife joined the shouting match since the situation apparently was getting nowhere. As my parting retort I told them that since I already have their vehicle's license plate number, we'll just have to see each other in court. At that time and place -it was getting dark and was so far away from my residence - I thought it's was better not wait for the police and considering the damage was not that much.

Afterwards, I thought that if I bring this matter it must at least be a criminal offense. But to do it right I have to file it in their hometown thus entailing undue time and effort. I thought of filing a hit and run complaint in my home city where it could cause them greater inconvenience but still requiring my personal attention not commensurate to the actual damage (unless moral damages are included).

In the end, I took no further action but learned (had to relearn it time and again) the futility of settling matters on the road and in the courts.

Of course, if there were physical injuries, that would be another matter.

there's so many hot-headed drivers nowadays, some of them gun-wielding pa nga. It's alway's better not to loose your cool for that matter and to apologize na lang if it's your fault. Pag may nang-aasar, asaran lang, walang pikunan. Pag naunahan ka, pasensya na lang, try next time. hehehe...
