In combat areas and hostile air space, it is light and noise discipline to reduce the risk of being seen and shot down. Even final approach is done in a steeper glide slope from a higher altitude (combat landing)


In other situations, for the control tower to be able to see the aircraft/s' attitude, direction and whether the aircraft's landing gears or other equipment are normal otherwise, the glare from the non essentials would obscure visibility from the ground

I have a tiny sling bag where I keep my passport and cash.

I never fly cebu pacific. Too many horror stories. My ex said it was just like riding a bus in edsa. May mani pa daw tinitinda. I hope that was just a joke.

I fly FSC in J and Y. I also fly LCCs. CebuPac gets the job done as far as bringing you from Point A to B. Nothing fancy. You get what you pay for.

My longest CebuPac flight is 9hrs and 30mins.

Nope. It is for safety yes but not for the reasons you mentioned. During night landings, lights are dimmed to let the eyes adjust so that in case of a crash, people can evacuate immediately and time would not be wasted adjusting to the dark.
