driving fast does not necessarily mean driving recklessly.

unfortunately, most of the reckless bus drivers also drive fast.

Are you prepared to pay extra for the construction of the two other lanes and installation of lights?

But of course, extra amount for a safer ways why not?..
I just cant get the point nung time na pinag isipan ang daan na yan bakit na approve na ganyan ang magiging outcome.. To think its an expressway, gugulatin ka na lang it will become a 2 way lane..

    How about you sir?..

Syempre, I pass there regularly going to Anilao.

However, most people wouldn't want to pay that much but they want an easier route from Sto. Tomas to Batangas City.

Hmm, I'm thinking that the operators of STAR were forced to finish the Lipa to Batangas City road because of it was used in the campaign of certain politicians.

"An easier and most cost effective way from Batangas City to Lipa"

    1. kasalubong (jeep)
    2. the one being overtaken (car)
    3. the one who performs overtaking (bus)

wala tayo sa pangyayari, pero assume ko hindi naman mag-oovertake siguro yung bus kung malapit na talaga yung kasalubong. dapat kabisado rin ng driver kung kaya nga ba niyang um-overtake in the shortest period of time na hindi siya pagbibigyan ng mga nasa harap niya.

ngayon, habang umo-overtake ang bus, yung oovertake-an (sentra) dapat paunahin na niya yung nag-oovertake. ang mga iba kasi lalo pang binibilisan kaya nadidisgrasya yun bang tipong ayaw magpauna. hindi ka naman oovertake-an kung mabilis ka, at kung tingin mo mabilis ka na at may gusto pa rin mauna sa iyo, paunahin mo lang kapag nasa kabilang lane na siya (just release the pedal no need to apply brakes).

yung kasalubong (jeep), dapat magbigay rin ng courtesy, hindi porke nasa right of way, lalo kang haharurot. just release the accelerator pedal too just to slow down a bit, kailangan bigyan ng pagkakataon yung umo-overtake palagi dahil kapag nagrambulan kayo wala nang right of way pagdating sa kamatayan. kapag medyo malapit ka na, tsaka ka mag-apply ng brakes at medyo gumilid sa hanggang saan mo makakaya. kahit naman ikaw gusto mong mapagbigyan hindi ba kapag ikaw ang umo-overtake.
+ 1 on this, This is what i say to everyone i have a conversation with regarding this matter. You cant just blame the bus driver..If you are a responsible driver and you see a overtaking vehicle coming head on to you just slow down if possible move to the side give way and with the characteristics of star tollway its possible to move to the shoulder in case of on coming traffic. .And with the car the driver should of also noticed that there was a incoming jeep and just slowed down let the bus overtake or if he really wanted to be a bad ass just speed away which i think a car is very capable of doing, out running a bus. correct me if im wrong. And the driver of the bus all i have to say is shame on him. .Im from batangas and regularly traverse star tollway i noticed going to lipa from batangas is uphill and vehicles especially slow moving vehicles like jeeps and trucks they dont slow down even just a little to let u overtake or even move to the shoulder i guess they dont wanna loose their momentum they would rather risk their safety than loose momentum..But i salute those trucks that carry fuel and gas because i noticed they are the only trucks or big vehicles that drive with some sense of responsibility..Its not the highway thats the problem, its the drivers using the highway that have the problem roads cant control humans...this is just my opinion feel free to correct me.

Do you know why there is such a big differrence? It is because Lorry/LPG truck drivers are carefully chosen and is in constant training when it comes to Road/driving safety. Plus those trucks are well maintained and equipped with monitoring devices such as GPS for monitoring vehicle location and it's drivers driving attitude. Mostly they have this Merit/demirit system..any abrupt stop/accelaration will earn you an alarm and is recorded against driver/truck. This goes as well for the speed limit.

Agree on this Bro..It is us whose using the road who are responsible not the road to blame.

(Pilipino Star Ngayon) Updated January 09, 2011 12:00 AM Comments (2)

Disipulo ni kamatayan...... what a word!!!
