You can use the report button in sulit if there is any misinformation. Justbe careful because the sulit seller might just be the 3rd owner and doesnt really know the full history of the car.

It's either hindi nya alam na flooded or nagsisinungaling sya.

Rare for the insurance to declare total loss on that extent of flood damage (at least per my experience). Looks like the car was sold off by the insurance (usually, as-is). Flood up to the lower part of the dash is still repairable if the car was immediately cleaned out and not started (i'm not familiar with Mitsus so don't know if the ECU was damaged though, with Toyotas, the ECU will most likely survive that especially if the battery was disconnected prior to flooding).

Kung buy and sell ang nagbebenta, alam niyang flooded yan.

Yup sir Vinj. The owner considers herself lucky that the insurance declared total loss. From my opinion when I saw it, it was repairable naman. Unit was barely 4 months old with less than 3k mileage when the incident happened. I guess insurance will minimize their loss when they have it repaired then sell it versus shouldering the repair cost alone without any returns.

If the car is 3 or 4 years old, it would have been another story. :-)

Nangyari sa car ko ito before (2010) pero it's between the insurance company (BPI/MS) and the buy and sell shop in Mindanao Ave. near Honda SPA. Yung FD ko before nalubog nung Ondoy. Almost half of the car lang yun submerged but the insurance company is kind enough para i-declare ng total loss. Of course with the help of the manager of Honda SPA that time.

It was December 2009 nung naibalik na sa akin yun pera (total of 805K) since 1 year old palang yung FD (7,XXXkms ODO). The insurance company asked me to surrender the spare key, owner's manual, etc. Keychain nalang at pictures natirang memories sa akin nung FD

January 2010 I decided to buy a Hyundai Tucson nalang. Instead of another Civic FD 2.0S.

Then April 2010, may nag-doorbell sa bahay namin. Looking for me. So humarap ako dun sa guy. At dala niya yung FD! HAHA.

He's asking for the owner's manual, service passport and spare key. Sabi ko sa kanya I surrendered those sa insurance company. So nagulat siya bakit daw.

Me: Tang* yang mekaniko mo and I'm sorry for that. Hindi na ako liable dyan sa sasakyan in fact I already have my Tucson, 1 month old palang.

Tapos pinakita niya sa akin yun deed of sale from buy and sell. Nagulat ako forged yun signature ko. At mayroon pa photocopy ng driver's license na kasama dun sa papeles kaya pala nalaman kung saan ako nakatira, bukod sa address sa deed of sale. Walanghiyang buy and sell yan pinalabas pa na I directly sold my FD to them.

Pang mods nalang nung bagong sasakyan diba

Hehehe.
