    Hi

I found someone from sulit selling my friend's old car that was submerged in flood. I was able to identify it via the conduction sticker. BEWARE!

2013 Mitsubishi Mirage Gls Top Of The Line Trade Or Swap - Secondhand For Sale Philippines - 35928273

    Real history:

Unit was flooded while parked outside their house last august 2013 (habagat). Owner was paid by the insurance and said the car was beyond repair.

    History according to the seller:

    1st owner daw went abroad.

    Ingat lang sa pagbili.

    It still has "Factory Warranty"?

I would think that cars that were flooded would've had their warranty voided. Hmm... the plot thickens.

This may be a collaboration between the insurance, Mistubishi (or its dealer/s) and even the seller.

Seller should have mentioned Flooded unit but fully restored by Mitsubishi motors with warranty for transparency. No need to lie and make up stories like 1st owner going abroad. Reason for selling is very misleading. Lady driver home to school? Wow, the 1st owner is actually a seasoned professional working for a global company based here.

White little lies....tsk tsk tsk. And for what, money?

Kaya when buying 2nd hand cars always assume na flooded ito.

Unless personally kakilala mo owner and alam mo history ng car.

In-laws ko looking for a 2nd hand car since limited budget, andami namin pinuntahan. Marunong sa auto si father in law.

Wala kami makita na nagustuhan niya yung engine.

May pinuntahan pa kami kesyo flooring lang daw ang nabaha. Still red flag pa din yun diba?

Was the car of the friend damaged in the flood (as in electronics, electricals, etc were damaged and the car wouldn't start and required a full disassembly and repair)? Up to where was the interior soaked?

Anyway, buyer beware really when buying a second hand.

Sir Vinj, interior was soaked up to the lower part of the dashboard, inabot yung head unit. Owner did not attempt to start it, disconnected the battery right away. She had it towed to Citimotors Makati. After a couple of days, casa/insurance called to declare total loss.
