it's ridiculous you mean all criminals who break into houses are bona fide members of this gang?

can't rob houses if you're not a member of this gang?

want to break into a car? you can't do that. you have to sign up w/ the "basag kotse gang" first

    this stupidity has to stop

You can't stop gangs unless there's an "oplan" that will be composed of members of a "task force".

Usually gangs are territorial ... you can't operate in their area since they have invested resources already ... Barkers, street vendors, same concept ... a vendor can't just setup shop anywhere he pleases, this applies to high traffic / high income area ...

From what I understand, it gives pogi points to the PNP if they arrest "members" or "leaders" of these gangs --- even if they're not and are just common robbers. Kung hindi "gang" eh "sindikato".

Eh diba during a spate of robberies in SM a few years back the police conveniently named the perpetrators "martilyo gang" kahit hindi related?

LOL. if they're a legit gang then we call them by their gang name.

real gangs have organizational structure. strict membership. hand gestures tattoos. etc

now if some random dude just decided to burglarize your house then calling him a MEMBER the very specific group known as the Akyat Bahay Gang is just plain retarded

*1D4LV, Natumbok mo sir.

Except for Sigue2x, Sputnik, BC (Batang Cebu) 45, BM (Batang Mindanao), which do have their own hierarchical structures and sets of rules that govern them, these GANGS or CRIMINAL GROUPS are labeled as such by law enforcement agencies according to their respective modus operandi and to set them apart from other criminal aggrupations who have different methods. In law enforcement, this is "knowing your enemy" and "dividing and conquering them." Having known their MOs, law enforcement agencies now have to devise means to conquer them. This is why in a law enforcement office there is a "theft and robbery section," a "homicide section," a "child and women's desk," "organized crime section," "AIDSOFTG or anti-illegal drugs special operations task group" or a section for the KFRG.

Calling this labeling "stupid" shows utter ignorance in law enforcement.

Let us just say you are IGNORANT about law enforcement.

There is wisdom in the advice that it is better to shut one's mouth and be thought of stupid, rather than open it and removes all doubt. Comprende?

pera-pera lang yan. pag may "gang" may "task force" at "oplan", may budget, may pera, may ibubulsa.

parang congressman lang, pag may project may contract, may contract may kick back.
