Ideally, leaders are supposed to be out there on the the field and not in their airconditioned offices or at the back of the SUVs while riding in a convoy. One has to get off that ivory tower. Unfortunately only few do that and those who dare do something usually get trampled upon by those linked to higher ups with vested interests.

At times it is frustrating to give way to merging vehicles either from a secondary road or coming out of an establishment parking.....

The merging vehicle takes its sweet time oh so sweet that you're stuck behind it in the traffic queue and the vehicle which was originally in front of you is merrily on its way hundreds of meters away......

Frustrating too when you think that your slowing down affected your FC a little... :D

Actually, what peeves me off are vehicles merging from establishments or minor roads who think they have right of way and force their way in or position their cars "alanganin". Pinagbibigyan ko naman sila when the situation allows (i.e. i'm still far and there's space for him or traffic is moderate or slow moving), eh yung iba, hindi talaga makahintay.

Isama mo pa yung mga guard ng establishments na buwis buhay na talagang haharangin ka para pahintuin dahil may lalabas na sasakyan. Why can't they wait na malibre muna yun daan para lumabas.

Eh pano, it's either yung manghuhuli niyan ganun din ang gawain, or hindi alam na violation yun, or both!

Yes, change needs to come from each person. But then, enforcement is needed to complement that change.

i suddenly remembered way back when i was in my early 20's. driving an fx full of relatives from an outing. sa bocaue exit yung dalawang bus nagkarera (the backyard built types) with the other one on my lane. yung alam mong malakas loob nila dahil alam nilang iiwas ka dahil private vehicle ka at loaded ka ng passengers, i ended up missing the bus by a feet or so and on the dusty sidewalk.

    f*ckers.

ang pinagkaiba ng jeepney drivers sa city bus drivers: wala pa kong nakita o nakilalang bus driver na matino, o yung tipong maingat kasi may pinagtatapos ng college, you know.. role model dad of sorts. lahat ata ng city bus drivers mga barubal.

bat kasi hindi pa ipasa ang speed governor requirement for buses.... every week, we read in the papers another reason why they should require these gadgets..
mahal 'kamo? e, 'di quit the business na lang sila! no one is forcing them to stay in it..

Ewan ko talaga... simple solutions and they can't even put it forward. EDSA is also just one friggin road and they can't even monitor and regulate the PUVs on it.

Just the other day as i was driving on EDSA, a fragging SAFEWAY bus zooms by me (i was doing around 50-60kph) and swerves around 2-3 lanes, coming from the private car lanes. Kahit yung Nova bus na same owner kay Don Mariano, ampucha pa rin magmaneho. Mga sira ulo talaga. Paging Jason Ivler...

BTT: This morning, the usual singit boys on EDSA - Shaw.

It all goes back to our corrupt politicians and government workers (who are supposed to be working for us) who are friends or acquaintances of these bus fleet operators. These operators would lobby, donate and bribe anyone who would allow them to keep the status quo.

just yesterday along EDSA southbound on the kamuning flyover. there's this white LC200 with a backup blue innova (TOR-429 or TOR-426). the innova guy constantly blocks the lane next to the LC200. then yung passenger sesenyas na convoy daw sila. i was 3 cars away. if it was me they would have seen my middle finger erect. hahaha

medyo OT. i have two relatives na mababait as in. pero pagdating sa road rage medyo high blood sila. weird. and i thought mainitin na ulo ko.

ano bang regulation para sa blue-and-red light bar na gamit ng ambulances? allowed ba ang ordinary baranggay vehicles na lagyan nito at pailawin kahit wala naman "official business"? only markings the vehicle has is the qc seal.

A little bit OT.... not bad motoring etiquette but rather bad traffic enforcer etiquette ung tipong hindi nagmamando ng traffic nasa isang sulok nag hihintay lang ng may mahuli.

Kahit gabi or madaling araw ang dami pa rin gumagawa nito. Instead na maka-left na ko maabutan pa ng stop light.

Hassle yan. yung iba kasi, sadyang binabagalan para maabutan sila ng go sa paderetso. . I keep to the middle lane and there's not much difference really since the only advantage you get by doing that kupal move is you're ahead at the Paseo - Makati Ave. stoplight (red light pa rin).

It's a relatively new light I believe. Or perhaps I don't really just pass it regularly. I think Makati traffic needs to sort out the timing of that light so it doesn't become a bottleneck, what with those guys who take up that lane and slow down to make the 2nd Go, or have an enforcer there catch the offenders.

Bad motoring etiquette: What you hate the most.
