We do it 30k. pag pinaabot mo ng 40k yan galon galong ATF na kelangan mo para malinis yung transmission mo. minsan nga transmission failure na eh. aantayin pa ba naten yun?

transtech: P3,000++
transmission overhaul plus parts: P30,000++

LOL.

Who was the SA you talked to? What is your car make and model? Did he check the timing belt or did he base it only on the dashboard reading? Have you had it replaced before? If yes, did you use the original part? I'll do the assesment if your car really needs a new timing belt and i'll admonish the SA if he has a fault.

True... that's what i told my dad after i showed the bill. 5K for the transtech is better than changing or overhauling trannies.

We just got the car 2nd hand from an elderly lady that's why i immediately had the transtech and some servicing done... although it's only 60,000kms on the odo I was already planning to change the t-belt since the car is already 9 years old... that's why i asked about the timing belt replacement service. What baffled me was the SA gave a quick answer that it should be every 60K kms even without first checking things on the car (we were both standing a few feet from the car). Percy was the one who assisted me for the service but i cannot recall if it was him i was speaking to that time as there were several guys around.
